I don't know for sure which he meant, but would assume USD is for University of South Dakota, NOT South Dakota State University (SDSU).
The retirement of Nielsen is rearing it's ugly head. Despite the fact that they promoted from within, that's not helping.

I didn't realize USD and SDSU were difficult to differentiate.
Yes, they were returning a whole bunch of starters and studs. Probably the only team that would give the bison a run for their money but now they’ve lost a bunch of starting offensive lineman, a stud wide receiver and a stud line backer .

I assumed he was talking about San Diego.
USD was a title favorite heading into the offseason until Nielsens retirement that is. Now they’ll be lucky to crack the top 10. Too bad he didn’t plan on sticking it out one more year. I was excited to see them making some serious progress as a program. SDSU has been ravaged as well
by Rogers, and the will most likely have some reality set back in again. The players did a good job of holding it together when it could have completely derailed though.
As far as Sac State, we should be paying attention to some of what they brought in over the initial portal period. Just the promise of going FBS really brought in some $$$ and talent.

Seems like NDSU is back in the driver's seat in the FCS again. Sigh.
Until somebody takes it from them. Who will step up.
