Langston Reynolds to Minnesota.
Haven’t heard anything. The staff seemed pretty certain back at the time that he got it. Guess I’d be curious to know where you’ve heard this?Is anyone else hearing that Pridgen's extra year isn't guaranteed with the NCAA now and is up in the air?
Thank you for this clarification and explanation. Here are a couple of reminders:
1. As of right now, per past findings: Medical red-shirts, extra years are funded privately and not generally counted towards a team total scholarship allocation in that year. Montana carried 14 scholarship guys last year, and may have 15 in the 2025-26 season. Sawyer, Johnson, and Pridgen would all fall under that designation. They only count towards roster positions. Right NOW, Montana regardless of designation has 11 scholarship players that would be counted with two that don't (Sawyer/Pridgen)
2. In 2025-26 the rosters are capped at 15. Right now w/out Johnson Montana has 13 roster positions filled of which only one is a walk-on (Dick). So if you ignore scholarship allocation, Montana has 1-2 roster spots left.
3. Pridgen's/Sawyers eligibility was far more straightforward than Johnsons. I haven't heard anything in a hot minute, but all I have heard is that it is a cluster. This year differs than last in that all the extensions have to be handled on a case-by-case basis rather than by roster designation (ie Covid year) and there might be upwards of 500 to a 1,000 players that could be applying for extra years wether it JUCO, Medical/Hardship or potential Covid type scenarios. NCAA has its hands full on waivers.
Griz had a Zoom call with him last week and apparently that went nowhere.Eastern just signed Isaiah Moses from UC Riverside. Finally some much needed good news for EWU
Who else have we had zoom calls with lately?Griz had a Zoom call with him last week and apparently that went nowhere.
I think Monson will do a good job there. I have always thought he deserved more credit for what has become Gonzaga basketball the lat 25 years or so.Eastern just signed Isaiah Moses from UC Riverside. Finally some much needed good news for EWU
Agreed...everyone forgets he was the one who started the Gonzaga run. He had an up and down run at Long Beach, but Cheney is home, so we know he isn't going anywhere unless he's fired or retires, give him a year or 2 and we will see. NIL and the Portal is absolutely killing EWU tho...I think Monson will do a good job there. I have always thought he deserved more credit for what has become Gonzaga basketball the lat 25 years or so.
I think Fitz actually put everything in place to start the run.Agreed...everyone forgets he was the one who started the Gonzaga run.
