The spring game tells us nothing.I'm thinking it might be good to see the QB's in the scrimmage, before fans decide who is better and will start.

DittoYou always find a way to bring absolutely nothing to a conversation.
So he's a redshift sophomore this year, and has dealt with a new OC and transfers coming in competing for hos job; and now you just decide he's not the guy! That kid is a really good athlete who leaves it all out there on the field. He's not his dad; and Nate Montana wasn't Joe Montana when he was here either. The absolute worst, most cynical fans are the ones like you, who throw out sarcastic comments about his mom. My kid is off to college this year running track. He's not gonna be their number one sprinter right away, but he's worked his ass off, and will continue to, so he be the best that he can be. If you had any clue of the work and training these kids go through, you wouldn't make such assinine comments.KEALI'I is not his dad's clone. Fans should recognize that fact. The coaches should recognize that fact. Maybe he will be much better than dad. Maybe he'll play like his mom.
Here, here, Spanky, Logan Fife was out best QB last year--Exhibit A was the Portland State game, a tale of two halves where the difference between Keali'i and Logan was stark. Yes, Logan struggled against the Shi##y Kitties, but so did Keali'i against South Dakota State until garbage time, almost the end of the game when the game was already long decided. He did play his guts out, left it all on the field, but really struggled and it was telling that the Jack Rabbits, coaches and players, wondered why Logan didn't play--so did a lot of GRIZ fans, including me--that was a real head scratcher !!!
While I hope Keali'i has an awesome year, he held onto the ball too long, often threw pic's, and he has had trouble staying healthy so far in his young UM career and is already dinged up in spring ball. And while I no nothing about Jensen's playing ability, I was impressed by his apparent maturity in his intro video. And I am pretty sure he didn't transfer from LA to Montana to ride the pine like he did @ USC.
Whether it's Jensen, Ah Yat, Flowers or someone else, we need an effective passer and runner this year--RPO-- behind center or we will have another good but not great year like 2024.

Well, your post is far too reasonable sir. I don’t know what the heck happened last year, but I for one am tired of not knowing who the QB is year after year. It will be interesting if nothing else. Possibly painful to watch, but interesting. The Portland State game is where the vast majority of my concerns about Ah Yat come from, he literally couldn't score against the worst statically rated Defense in the Big Sky last season. And idk how much of last year's 2 QB clusterf**k was because Fife and Hauk didn't get along but it did damage my confidence that Hauck will make changes when needed.
Hell it took Ah Yat getting hurt to put Fife in vs PSU, I think there's a very good chance we lose that game if that didn't happen. Regardless, as mentioned it's way to early to judge, especially when you have a QB who has been in the system for a few years vs a newcomer to the team.
As concerning was the UND game where he could not buy a first down in the 2nd half while the game slipped away. Here, here, Spanky, Logan Fife was out best QB last year--Exhibit A was the Portland State game, a tale of two halves where the difference between Keali'i and Logan was stark. Are you sure he isn't posting under an alias.Wel we've tried to get Bobby to post here but so far he's refused.
Newsflash, 37: THIS WHOLE FUCKING PLACE IS "OPINION". Sounds like you're in the wrong place.
Doesn’t mean he isn’t either… I think he’s got the talent just needs to put together with reps.Everyone's opinion on here is worthless and just because you want Ah Yat to be good doesn't mean he is.
This may also be a function of the young athletes who what to play QB and are recruited to do so... Most (not all) seem to be in this "play me now or I'm in the portal" approach to their time with the teams. Seems like we see a lot of players especially QB's who list three teams in four years...and from my impression this is true with both FBS and FCS schools. It’s really a no win situation with some of this fanbase. It’s either, “I’m tired of seeing a new QB year after year. Why can’t we develop a QB. It’s clearly a weakness of Bobby and his staff.”
But, when the staff does bring in competition and develop someone as a RS freshman on by getting him playing time it’s, “He sucks. He’s never going to be good. He’s not the guy.” And they just can’t take the growing pains.
I get it. It’s frustrating when the team doesn’t live up to the expectations of this fanbase of winning a title every year. You can’t eat your cake and have it to though. The only way we get to the level of NDSU or SDSU is to build a culture of development. To develop you need to get meaningful reps. Bobby has definitely gone against his nature to get talented freshman playing time early the last couple of years. That comes with the caveat that they will make some rookie mistakes.
Nowhere have I judged him good, bad, or indifferent. Read the post or all the posts again. I don't know what to expect, and THAT is what I wrote. So he's a redshift sophomore this year, and has dealt with a new OC and transfers coming in competing for hos job; and now you just decide he's not the guy! The UND game wasn't anywhere near all on KAY.As concerning was the UND game where he could not buy a first down in the 2nd half while the game slipped away.
Where did he say it was ALL on him?The UND game wasn't anywhere near all on KAY.
"he could not buy a first down in the 2nd half while the game slipped away." seems to point a finger.Where did he say it was ALL on him?![]()
