MBBALL Big Dance Tracker

The BYU/Alabama game just started. Alabama‘s favored by 4.5. I’m pulling for BYU for the upset. Hopefully those two big boys or BYU can do their thing in this game. I said in an earlier post that I wish we had just one of those guys.

The Tide has brought in a rain of treys. They are shooting 22 of 44 from downtown. Some of those look like they came from South Florida. The difference in the game.
Tide up 100-79.

I have Duke winning the whole thing in my bracket but wouldn’t mind seeing an Arizona upset. I liked when they played the Griz in November or December. They have one of the top college basketball environments in the western US and they have good weather during basketball season.

I am now watching Arizona/Duke Game. Once again I’m pulling for the upset Arizona is currently up 15 to 10.
Pretty competitive game. Even with the late run by Duke, they lead by only 6 at the half.

The T Tech score looks more respectable than earlier, but they really haven't been able to close the gap on Arkansas.

Is Ida the only one watching basketball? The rest of you must be out drinking whiskey.
I’m watching. Just really don’t have a comment. Would like someone other than the SEC to win a game or two. At this point six of the Elite Eight could be SEC teams … yuck!

The good news: No more than four. Tex Tech needed OT, but they finally knocked out Arkansas. Today, Kentucky and Tennessee face off, so one will not go on.

The bad news: Four SEC teams could make the Elite Eight:(. Time for the Big Ten to step up ... they have two games against SEC opponents today.

If Michigan State who was at the top of the Big 10 all year can't beat Ole Miss that is a problem

Kentucky makes their first Sweet 16 appearance since 2019 against their arch rival Tennessee Volunteers at the Colts stadium. This is one where the NFL stadium might make sense. The game is 5.5 hours from UT, 3 hours from UK and less than 2 hours drive time from 2 of UK’s biggest alumni bases in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky and Louisville.

So far, MSU has struggled. Near as I can tell, they have never led (tied a few times). Of course, that could change any second now, but they have not looked good.
