MBBALL 2025 Big Sky Conference Transfer Tracker

Ya that one hurts. I saw one post from Shaun Rainey that said he's not ruling out the possibility of returning to UM though. The collective needs to throw some money at him.
After this last season, and the recruiting and coaching job that Travis and his crew did, I think he'll get it figured out. He brought in a lot of transfers last year-like a lot of teams in the conference-but really put together an incredible team. Hope Malik ends up back here, but from his point-of-view, he really has nothing to lose by checking the portal out. I think Travis knows that it's just business, and that's college sports now; and for a certain poster on these threads, it's all "woke" out there.

Unless he goes and rides the pine on an SEC or B12 team, the odds of him PLAYING and being on a team that actually makes the tournament is almost zip. He ain't playing for St. Mary's. He ain't playing for Gonzaga. So where's he gonna go and still have a great shot at March Madness?

400 players into the portal today alone...

As of 4:00 PDT... Here is the damage to the BSC:
3 from NAU (Jackson, Wistrcill, Ford)
2 from Weber (Sarenac x2)
1 from Idaho (Hardy)
1 from Portland State (Farrell)
1 from Montana (Moore)
1 from Sacramento State (Deng)
1 from Eastern Washington (Williams)
1 from Idaho State (Ghetie)

ISU hasn't lost their guy yet. He has probably been offered close to 7 figures. They did lose a walk on, but I don't think they should count as a transfer, even though they enter the portal. IMHO

Zack Davidson in the portal.

I was hoping he would stick it out. Don't blame him for looking for more consistent playing time opportunities in this environment. He showed some promise in his limited minutes during the conference season. Best of luck to the kid.

Really? That's interesting. I wonder if that was Decuire's doing or his. Maybe Sawyer decided to come back next and that was enough for Davidson to go.
I haven't heard anything on Sawyer beyond that his knee would likely require surgery.

I think Davidson's decision is independent of that. He didn't get rotational minutes at the end of the year and simply got mop up time. As I edited above, I think he's in search of rotational minutes somewhere. I think he has potential to be a decent rotation player at the BSC level, but he was just a bit under-strengthed this year.

Sorry to see him leave. He was looking good early in the season until he got injured. His playing time was limited after that, as became buried in the depth chart.

Demarshay Johnson Jr. is in the portal for SDSU. He might be of some interest to the Griz, he was offered by the Griz while in HS and is a part of that Richmond (Salesian Prep) group that TDC has had success with. Moreover, he comes from a system at SDSU that defends similarly. Relatively unknown as he spent three years at SDSU and didn't play much. Highly mobile and some good spring.
