MBBALL Dance Party! MONTANA vs Wisconsin Gameday!

I think we should schedule more non conference games against bigger programs in the region. We haven’t played the likes of Colorado or Colorado State recently. Oregon and Washington are good localish Big 10 opponents.

We’ve played Oregon the last 2 years. CU and CSU won’t play us. I’m releasing the 25-26 schedule tracker tomorrow and I’ll give some context on what I know and who else we may see.

Why would CU not play us? They played South Dakota State about as comparable of a program to Montana out there this season.

Henry Chisholm considers a 19 pt loss 'coming up short..." 19 pt's is 'short'?
Did you see what Gonzaga did to Georgia? Finally won by 21. Was up 27-3 before Georgia knew the game had started. Did the 'press' call it coming up 'short?' No. They called it what it was.
McNeese St. knocked off Clemson, who came up 'SHORT.' Kansas came up 'SHORT' against Arkansas.
Call it what it was, an ass kicking. It was the third 19 pt loss in Griz Big Dance History. There were four other WORSE ass kickings in that history.
That's their role, fodder for the bigs. So is the entire BSC. I'm as much a Griz of any of you assholes, but I call it like it IS, not as I wish. They played as best they could, plenty of heart, but relatively short of talent, and height. The truth is a bitch. The Griz play the hand they are dealt. If they can't recruit the talent they need, this will be as best result that can be expected. End rant.

Our schedule was fine this year.
The problem is losing too many out of conference games to other mid majors. We need to consistently beat the likes of St Thomas, the Dakotas, Northern Iowa, San Francisco. At worse, we can't afford to be blown out by any teams like these!

That's the difference between a 12 and 14 seed!

You don't think people on here don't know the difference between Big Ten and Big Sky Basketball? The way it has been for like 50 years? You are an old man yelling at the sky. Just finding something to bitch about.

Does anyone know what happens to teams that get bounced on day 1? Are they on the charter home after a shower? Or do they get to hang for the weekend and watch games and enjoy the tournament?

I went to an opening round in Portland three years ago and Akron was staying at same hotel as us. They were loading up leaving the morning after they lost. There is a day in between so I think most teams leave if they lose.

This! I know we had injuries in OOC but you gotta win more of these games and you gotta be competitive with Oregon and Tennessee. We almost got USF and may have won if it weren’t for a botched goaltending call, but St Thomas and Northern Iowa were bad showings. The good news though is we’ll get another crack at UNI next year cause they come to Missoula in November and that would be an example of a game you gotta win if you wanna get up to a 12 or 13. The Big Sky schedule does you no favors so you gotta maximize your opportunities in OOC.
