MBBALL March Madness Tickets

They ended up being more expensive than I was expecting. $166 for general admission. Hopefully this includes the second round as well. On the website it looks like it is just for Wisconsin.
These tickets are for the morning session games. UM-Wisconsin and BYU-VCU are covered in these tickets. If you wanted to go to the evening session (Michigan-UC San Diego, Texas A&M-Yale) then you'd have to buy those separately. Same goes for the 2 second round games on Saturday.

Tough to say without seeing your tickets.

I have been to the opening rounds probably 15 times over the years. They are such a good time. For this first weekend the games are broken into 3 sessions. You'll have two games Thursday morning in which tickets get you in both. Then there is a couple hour break where they empty the stadium before the 2nd Thursday session begins. Separate tickets will get you into both these games as well.

Friday is yours to do what you want as there are no games in your region. Then the 3rd session will be Saturday in which your tickets get you into the final two games.

Tickets are very easy to get overall. However, it is more difficult when trying to get them into a specific section, i.e. in the Griz section for your game. What I have done usually is buy 3 separate sets of tickets for all three sessions. Kinda fun to sit in different places throughout the stadium. Watch the 1st two games, leave for a little break and some beers, re-enter and sit somewhere else for the late two games, enjoy my Friday visiting the city, and then tickets for the last two games somewhere else in the arena Saturday.

Depending on who's playing, I have found that you can actually move around a bit and get closer to the action if you choose to. In fact, one year in Salt Lake we were up in the bar area in the nose bleeds and they let me and some buddies watch from one of the suites up there that was vacant. It's actually pretty lax once you're in.

Enjoy the weekend. It's an awesome time!

Anyone know the sections Montana is going to be in? I didn't get the tickets tough to justify spending $166 when they are $100 on StubHub but want to get them in the Griz section.

Looks like they released the tickets late. I guess they’re all sold out because it says no tickets matching your selection, that is on Griztix. Tickets in the 100 section are going for $600, a little too much for my budget. I would be happy to pay the $166, to sit with GRIZ fans. It’s all about the experience. But, they let scalpers control the price of tickets. The NCAA is all about money. I can’t sit in the nosebleed section, due to my eyesight, isn’t what it used to be. With my eyesight, I could qualify to be a ref.
I posted on the ticket section looking for tickets. Maybe I’ll get lucky and somebody will have a couple.

I ended up getting 2 after hearing they are in the lower level. I wanted to get 3 but it said none were available when I tried and now it says none available when I try to get one.

I did get some tickets right at 9AM. They just said General admission, does GA just mean anywhere in the stadium? Or anywhere in a certain section?

I think exact seats will be determined tomorrow when tickets are emailed. It sounds like they will be assigned seats in either section 146 or 148. The resale market in these sections is currently $400 plus.

If the Griz make it to the Sweet 16, those tickets should be easier to get because Newark is so far away

Those seats were always welcomed by young kids. It's pretty disgusting watching grown adults slink into seats they never purchased.

I mean I get your point but it's not as extreme as you're making it. For one there are usually hundreds of seats unsold for the first rounds. Seats that no one purchased. Then there are even more for some sessions depending on who's playing. I've always been content in the seats I've purchased. But if someone wanted to move closer to the action in seats obviously un-used I could certainly not care less.

Not going to be relevant to Griz game anyway because we are the first game of the session
Usually the first session is never filled

I guess I've had a sour taste in my mouth since my last experience 2 years ago. Drunk adults don't move easily.

Likely you will get kicked out of your seat by a BYU fan in the middle of the Griz game if you try to move to better seats you didn’t buy vs BYU fans can pretty confidently sit in the empty Griz and Badger seats for their game against VCU.

Oh I get it. I've just been to a ton of these and while the crowds are great, it's never sold out. People tend to move around pretty easily if they choose.
Denver is sold out. Sold out does not mean fully attended as fans of one of the teams will likely attend only some or none of the game their team is not playing.
