MBBALL The other UNC and SDSU in the first 4

UNC could cause some trouble in tournament. Seems like there is always a team that plays in that 11 seed play in game that makes a bit of a run.

And they did what they've done all year; beat a quad 2 team. They're 9-0 against those teams. It's the good teams they couldn't beat all year, thus why they shouldn't have been in the tourney to begin with.

It certainly created a bad look for the committee and the ncaa. I know Bubba couldn't be in the room when UNC was being discussed, but knowing he was standing in the hallway outside the door no doubt influenced the decision.

As an aside, is there a more fitting name for an AD from the south than Bubba?

Exactly. And those guys are together all week long. Are we really to believe that UNC didn't get talked about at all? I get that every year there are going to be teams in that shouldn't be, and teams out that should be in. But the optics of this one were terrible.

the only thing that was worse in my eyes was Louisville getting an EIGHT seed! Here's how the seeding broke down for the top 10 teams in the country:

#1 - 1 seed
#2 - 1 seed
#3 - 1 seed
#4 - 1 seed
#5 - 2 seed
#6 - 2 seed
#7 - 2 seed
#8 - 2 seed
#9 - 3 seed
#10 - 8 seed

There were a lot of head scratchers this season
