MBBALL March Madness Tickets

Griz til I die

To people who have gone to March Madness before and have sat in the Griz section, how did the process work? When does Griztix make them available for purchase? How big is their allotment? etc. I've been on hold for 20 minutes just so I could ask them and haven't been able to get through so far. In the event we get placed in Seattle or Denver I wanna go and I'd love to sit with Griz fans in the lower level.

I went to a Griz March Madness game in College Station, TX. The Griz we playing Texas A & M. This was in March of 2015. There were about 6-8 Griz fans there with a 3' x 6' UM sign. We lost the game. We sat in the lower section. Those attending the game sure knew Montana was represented.

When they played in Des Moines I believe I just called the ticket office and got 2 in the Griz section. It was easy because it was Des Moines.

If they get assigned Seattle, I imagine tickets will go quickly. Less so if they go to Denver. Anyplace east of Denver and they should be easy tickets to get.

I think I have those opening round cities correct, but didn’t validate.

I've attended regional tournaments at Denver, SLC, and Albuquerque.

Denver, I had corporate tickets from my job. I was spoiled for that.

SLC got tickets from fans who couldn't make the tournament.

Albuquerque got tickets from a Lobos season ticket holder.

Found out about the tickets through fan FB pages and or fan forums. Had a terrific time and terrific deals.

UM will get a certain allotment and then it is up to them how to distribute them. They might offer the tickets to friends and family of the team, Griz basketball season ticket holders and students before they are released to the public.

Does anyone know which sections are going to be for Montana? Wisconsin has a huge fan base we need to show up to support the Griz.

Tickets to the general public will go on sale on Tuesday. Roundball Club members and season ticket holders will have priority access prior to the general public. Stay tuned to social media for specific on-sale times.
The above was copied from gogriz.com. It was wrong. Be wary of what you read on gogriz.com. Here is updated info:

Griz Nation, the Big Sky Champion Montana Grizzlies men's basketball team is headed to Denver for the NCAA Tournament! The Griz are set to take on Wisconsin this Thursday, March 20, at 11:30 a.m. in the Mile High City. If you want a chance to catch the game in person, here is some important information regarding the ticketing timeline.

Tickets will be available via GrizTix. Roundball/Excellence Club members will receive first access today, Monday March 17, at 2 p.m. (Mountain Time) followed by GSA Members and men's basketball season ticket holders at 4 p.m.

If you are a Roundball/Excellence Club member, a GSA member or a season ticket holder keep an eye on your email later today for a promo code to access tickets at your allotted time slot.

Tickets will be on sale for $160 (plus fees) and are good for Thursday's opening session between Montana and Wisconsin, followed by BYU and VCU.

Getting tickets for this game, seems to be hard. One cannot buy tickets at the box office at the arena. All tickets have to be bought online. I guess I’ll have to wait until 8 AM in the morning to see if I can get tickets on Griz tix.

I can buy tickets for the softball game, but I can’t buy tickets for the basketball game. Says on the web site that they go on sale at 8 AM.

They ended up being more expensive than I was expecting. $166 for general admission. Hopefully this includes the second round as well. On the website it looks like it is just for Wisconsin.
