DeCuire vs Hauck, different public styles

Not sure I buy that comment. Both sports are "team" sports from the jump. It's just that football may be more complex in that it involves lots more personnel, deeper rosters and requires additional coaching staff like position coaches that are not relevant to basketball. Either way, Travis deserves a renewed contract with all the bonus values the AD can throw his way!

Was he blocking the defensive line while he was throwing himself the ball? And how about all those defensive plays he made out there. All he did was own the one or two guys that tried to cover him. That’s not a one man show.

If you say so…

Ultimate team sport. On many positions everyone on court touches the ball.
If you listed all the team sports in order by team/individual ratio, basketball would probably be at least 5th or 6th down the list from the team side. Football, volleyball, rugby are definitely more of a team sport than B ball. Hockey and soccer even more so due to the specialty defensive and offensive positions. Baseball is one of the few team sports that might be more individual then B ball just cus the offensive part of the game is all individual.

I 100% disagree. Basketball players have to do everything. So your saying if you have speciality positions that is more of a team game? It’s team offense, team defense and team rebounding. A lot of great players don’t play on great teams. In general having a great QB gives you a better chance to be a great team in NFL and college football than one great player in college basketball and NBA. Mahomes and Brady have proven that. Take the QB off MSU, SDSU and NDSU the last couple years.

yet you create a thread titled coach versus coach and start your post with those words ?
Versus as in comparing the two styles and stating which one I find most effective personally. I’m not so self-absorbed that I think everyone will think like me, hence how the post starts.

Sorry,
It actually was. You don’t have to block very long when Randy was running full speed like a gazelle past our db’s and safeties. When he wasn’t running past them, he was catching the ball over the top of them. There was no stopping him and without him it would have been a different game. The exact example of one player dominating.
