BOTH Men's and Lady Griz Finals.

Was such a bad look that they forced her into.

Also glad to see the kittens will never grow up.
Yeah, they played it perfect. Didn't let Morales beat them, Dykstra go past her defender (who didn't foul), Bartsch walled up, all the box outs happened....except the defender that Dkystra got by that was behind her, ball bounced immediately back to her. Heartache. As well as the Cats have played, this shouldn't have been close. So damn proud of these LG.

Bittersweet for Bartsch and nearly a poetic ending to her senior year. Hits trademark wing 3 to give the LG the lead, then walls up and causes an unbalanced covered shot on defense.

Griz played with all heart, what a Big Sky tournament. Great adjustments by Harris, the double team at the end was brilliant, cats got the rebound. That ball touches rim and Griz win.

Congrats to the coaches and players for the way they played in Boise after a tough year. WELL DONE!

Some times coaches are given opportunities, sometimes they earn them... I believe both are true for Coach Harris... let's see what he can do.

I normally don't get a chance to watch many games, especially those in succession. Anyway, the stars aligned for me and I got to watch the Lady Griz upset #3, #2 and take #1 to the last second over three days. Been great.

I even told coworkers who could give a crap less about the Lady Griz. Like I said, it's been a moment.

Okay so here's a dumb I don't really understand basketball question: after Dani's go ahead three, The cats got to inbound the ball basically at half court rather than under the basket like normal. Like I said, I don't really understand basketball so I'm sure there's a reason but I didn't know why. It seemed like that was what gave them enough time to make that last shot.

Rule changed....3 (4?) years ago or around the same time the women's game moved to 4 quarters instead of 2 halves that on a timeout, the team with the ball that takes the timeout can advance the ball to half court.
* Roughly. I dunno the exact rule verbiage

I believe that happens in the last 1 or 2 minutes of the game after a time out call. No time outs left it's full court.

At the end of the day, for a defense to hold a REALLY potent offense to only 58 points, force someone other than their best player to take a shot, contest the shot, don't foul and cause a miss on the initial shot with around 2 seconds when the initial shot was taken, more often than not, that is gonna get the W. Really lucky for the cats, really unlucky for the Griz.

Guarantee you no one had a Griz team who tends to struggle on D have the way the game went on their bingo card.
