I think he won multiple state championships. If my memory hasn't completely failed me, wasn't Garrett a state champion wrestler in high school @ Eureka ?
I wouldn't mess with Garrett--he was quite the safety and KR for us embodying both size and speed !!!
Wait…are you saying boxers 50 years ago that went 18 rounds are in better shape than fighters now???Current championship caliber boxers pay big money to people to manage and elevate their performance measures. Advanced heart monitors, VO2, and many, many more...
Maybe boxing works because current champions ain't going 18+ rounds....![]()
More than 12 rounds is really dumb and fighters now could definitely do that if that was the format.I dunno I think 100 years ago they fought more than 12 rounds even in the early 80's they went 15 rounds. wasn't until the Korean boxer died fighting Boom Boom they changed to 12 rounds...but I also would say training has changed some..with computers and physical therapy and blood tests.....I guess some boxers get blood tests to determine how hard they can train on any given day or when to take easy days....
I would love to see how Ali, Foreman, Frazier etc would compare to todays top heavy weights....I wish boxing was not so corrupt tho...too many decisions that make zero sense..

I don’t know when he trained during his football career but the guy was legit. I’ve seen his opponent fight twice and he’s really good. And Graves just dominated the fight start to finish and didn’t even look winded. If it’s what he wants to do and trains full time; I could see him being a really great fighter. I was very impressed.Wasn’t even close. Graves might be on to something with MMA. Congrats to him!
Graves was a 2 time state champ wrestler at Eureka. He is a bad man. Would love to see another Montana made UFC fighterI don’t know when he trained during his football career but the guy was legit. What's impressive by that is that he didn't need to use hardly any grappling at all. His stand-up and striking were excellent. I think he has a future.Graves was a 2 time state champ wrestler at Eureka. He is a bad man. Would love to see another Montana made UFC fighter![]()
