Scott Linehan Hired by the Saints

Not sure if this has been posted on egriz yet but I just read the New Orleans Saints are hiring Scott Linehan. His official position with the team hasn’t been announced yet but he was an offensive analyst for us last season.

Hey, unless you have direct, verifiable evidence to the contrary, the only real logical conclusion is that he hated Bobby.

It’s the world we now live in. Anyone thinking loyalty, honor and ethics still exist, is naive. Is it right? Nope. Not saying that. Just pointing out the obvious. Sad times we are in. $$$ over all else.

Not surprised. He wasn’t gonna stay in the analyst role forever. If Pease were to leave he probably would’ve taken the OC job but I don’t blame him for moving on.

I think this was expected from the get go. He got to spend some quality time with his son, live in a beautiful little community (cost of living not as big of a deal for a former NFL coach), and be around some hungry young guys. Almost a vacation year for a guy who is used to the NFL HC/OC grind.

I have the insider scoop. Apparently just before Linehan left, Bobby loaded him in the back of a pickup truck and drove him out in Pattee Canyon. He let him out and started yelling "Get out of here, boy, go to the NFL. You're free now, get out of here!" And so Linehan wandered around until a nice lady from The Saints found him and took him in.

Why would he need any ? He surely can get the job done by himself. I mean it's a D2 type school so who cares.

It was my understanding he was already doing it by himself and his old buddies were just there to collect retirement checks.
