Not sure if there any tournament implications tonight, but interested to see Courtney Grossman of EWU. True frosh from Billings West averaging 10+ rebounds and 10+ points. Profile on EWU page says she's pursuing business and law career.

Does anyone know if she was recruited to UM? Doesn't UM have a decent business and law school? Would her family get more chances watch her in Missoula than Cheney?

I watched her at State last year and took about a minute for me to think she was a Lady Griz level player.

Hard to say it but hoopsfan may have been on to something.

I'd also add, the days are long gone (probably since year...2 (3?) of Scheweyen where if the LG offered an in-state recruit, they almost always get them (especially with the emergence of the neighbors since Selvig's retirement).

In-State could have been a blind spot for Holsingers recruiting as well - or maybe he was just doubling down on what he was more comfortable with (AAU connections, etc).

You guys are telling me she chose EWU over an offer from UM? Of course, Lady Griz are loaded with rebounding athletes.
 
After watching Holsinger and staff run off one Montana kid after another and replace them with "new" (but in the long run mostly equivalent) talent from the portal, why would any kid risk opting in to that cycle? His apparent utter lack of interest in local products also made it so that when he did express interest, it was not met very warmly.

I’m not telling you anything. The facts are that the LG are no longer an auto-commit just because they offer.

Probably has some to do with the relationships (or lack there of) with MT high school coaches and not nearly as much winning.
