Pawlak?

Might be jumping the gun on this one and no idea if it means anything but noticed he’s following a bunch of coaches at Western Michigan and a bunch of their OL, again could be nothing but kind of alarming in a way especially all the coaches.

I am sure Coach Pawlak was earnestly recruiting the Upper Midwest for us.

I am also sure that Coach Pawlak will now start recruiting some of those same O linemen for Western Michigan. A little sleazy maybe but that's college football recruiting today and yesterday when a coach jumps schools. I do hope none of our kids--existing O linemen, transfer O linemen, and incoming high school O linemen recruits follow him !!!

I am guessing we probably have to bring an O line coach into Missoula from outside our program, 701--I have read our other coaches resume's--not recently--and I don't remember anyone that could take the job unless we use someone internally as a bandaid. And given how important our O line will be to our success next year, probably not a good idea !!!
 
This really sucks given the new guys we have coming in as freshman on the offensive line, as well as what we have in the RB room.

Ran into one of our offensive lineman that will likely be starting this year, and he was excited for the upcoming year, but given his aversion to make eye contact when discussing pawlak and minimal responses, there seemed to be something off. Wonder if this was well known inside, or if this recruiting push post season created an opportunity? could just be that he is a high energy, high intensity ball buster which is what we need to create a killer mentality up front.

I’m a big fan of Pawlak based on what he did at UND he got the absolute best out of his position group and the kids liked playing for him. Hopefully Bobby and Co. can bring in another good coach soon, assuming he is in fact leaving. If he does, I wish him well.

Bandaids are for scrapes and minor cuts. This is more on the order of a arterial laceration/cut. Not minor.

I agree, Phenicie is our former OC from Hauck 1.0, I believe was Bobby's OC @ UNLV for awhile, former Bengal's HC, and he did coach OT's and TE's in '23 so he's okay for a bandaid interim, but my thinking is we need a former big hog, former college O lineman, to coach our young big hogs between now and August, the sooner the better !!! I just don't know who is on the menu and available ?

The scent of money. He has been accustomed to that flatland shit. Wild horses couldn't drag me thatta way. Can you name the nearest mountain range in the Grand Forks or Kalamazoo area. I can't. Oh, well, its his life. I've lived in my share of shitholes.
