I think Avery, Mak, Dani, and Tyler are all good. MJ too. Mak was a top 100 recruit. Look up where she had other offers to. But it sounds like her relationship with BH was the reason she came to UM. We know she took a leave for a game after the Incident. I just wonder if she’s really 100%, mentally yet. I think Dani could've forced her presence in the paint a little more. At one point Tyler was called for a foul. Her 3rd? And she wasn't in agreement with the call. And honestly I thought it could've gone a no call, it happened in front of me. But as whichever Cat player was shooting their 2nd freethrow, Tyler was still shaking her head in disagreement. You have to flush that and move on. Nate made mention of the fouls at the presser afterwards saying you can't hang your head on not getting a foul call. And he saw them doing that today. And you have to d up through your shooting lulls. I think you really saw certain griz players start to melt as the game went on and the Cat's lead increased. Your two starting guards had no made field goals. None. Zingaro players fewer minutes in the last couple games. In watching it appears teams have decided if they collapse on her and double team her, she's not quick enough nor does she have the hands to control the ball with 2 or 3 people slapping at it around her. She was good one on one, but it seems like teams have figured this out. I see her excel on D on post players because she has enough mass she doesn’t move. Lexi bodied up on her in the game, and figured out after trying to bump her twice, she wasn't moving.
At the end of the day I think you have good players. Good enough to be a top 4 team in the Big Sky. I don't see the mental toughness they need to be there. Is that BH? Has Nate had enough time to fix it?
