MBBALL Emerging Player

A few years ago, toward the end of the season, I posted I liked Oke emerging as a key player. He was doing a lot of small things at the end of his Jr season.

Sure enough, he became a solid rebounder, shot blocker, and defensive presence. Guess what?

That emerging player this year is Amari Jedkins. Despite a slight build, he's a solid defender, rebounder, and his athleticism gives him a high ceiling.

He's just now emerging as he's gotten healthier and more experience. I see him contributing solid minutes with results rest of this season.

If he puts on 15+ pounds of muscle for next season, he's going to be a defensive paint presence. He's also got a nice outside shot. He just needs to add an inside game.

To me, he's the player emerging from the depth chart that is going to be a key player the next few years. I'm hoping that Bradtke also adds muscle and an inside presence.

I really like Jedkins though. There's alot to like about his future. Thoughts? Who's that emerging player for you all?

I agree. Great to see these new players improve through the year (and get healthy). Zack Davidson will be another name to watch. Lots of potential.

A lot of deep talent on this team.
Shoff is the only player that's easy to see why he's deep on the bench.

The rest can be justified getting solid minutes.

To me, Jedkins stands out. His athleticism is obvious. Good things happen when he plays. It's easy to see him adding 15 lbs of muscle. There's also a lot of minutes opening up with Sawyer graduating.

Jedkins, Bradtke, Davidson, and Foye will all be competing for those 25 to 30 minutes.

Personally, I'm hoping we add another bigger paint defender rebounder.

100%. I’m looking forward to Henderson and Thompson coming off their redshirts. But another bog physical post would make this roster really complete.
