LadyGriz Holsinger on Leave

This team stepped up in demanding change beyond what any player should have to do:taking a stand against head coach. The Seniors are shouldering even more responsibility now. It’s mid season! The dust ain’t gonna clear for months. Let’s focus on Lady Griz and the season at hand. Next up the Bobcats at home.

We have heard a lot of what's being posted. We will leave it to UM admin to fill the rest in.

On another note, we have also heard Holsinger has left Missoula and is in Boise with family.

This tells us it's not a "PERSONAL LEAVE" but "PLACED ON LEAVE" both phrases have been mentioned. Which one is truth is up to UM admin to share.

Holsinger is toast and if the LG keep playing inspired....the answers to the issue are in the production.

We are almost certain that now all assistant coaches are on same page as acting HC. Production and energy show. Tonight and v MSU should give indications to that

The real question is where does the Holinsger issue that has come to light, affect the AD at UM. He made this hire and from our sources made this hire without consulting the committee he and the athletic dept put i place for the hire.

From out sources that commitee wasn't even considered a voice in the hire. He just wanted to move on from the last regime.
Maybe getting kicked out of a middle school traveling team tournament for berating officials working their 5th game of the day might have been a window into his anger issues.

Time will tell.

No runors spread here orher than stating things in LG land weren't right....prior to the suspesion or Leave being put in place.

We belive Holsigner being places on leave backs up our statement of LG not being kn a good spot.

No pitch fork was used in our statements.
You spell and type like mthoopsfan, who by the way (I must eat crow!), had a better early take on this coach than many of us.

As is with many of you, I am a diehard GrizWBB and Griz hoops fan & have consulted with several acquaintances I consider "insiders." My current opinion is that GrizCC1979 has a solid perspective and that "The dust ain't gonna clear..." for awhile.

I agree with his assessment that we should focus on helping the kids perform and focus on their season. However, for their sake, I hope we (our athletic dept) comes to a quick resolution on this. The last thing that program, and frankly the dept needs, is a long drawn out process with all kinds of questions left unanswered.

While this is certainly not ideal for the team in the middle of the season, it's possible that it could bring the players together in a way that it seems the coach was unable to.

College athletics should be a time of growing and learning together. Not just about how much $ you can make. It's not in a life/death situation like the military or first responders.

Hopefully team sports help young people learn the importance of the meaning of the word "team". An incident like this could teach them lessons beyond the court. An important lesson for all.

There is supposed to be an internal investigation going on. Who is the internal Clouseau behind the curtain? What is the delay. This is misdemeanor level shit.

From a trusted source via church. Incident did not involve player. Holsinger shoved female assistant coach into wall. Players refused to play for him.

He’s toast.
Thats some church you go to. Does everyone spread rumors like that, or just a select few? Sanctimonious bunch you hang with. I remember something about bearing false witness. You should consult someone about this.
I knew a person like that a long time ago. Always asking for information about some things which she had no business knowing. And spread info the same way. Her lips would tighten, never see them move, like a Ventriloquist, without the puppet. Then in hushed tones would come out with some vile shit. She was the town gossip, 20 years before the Internet took her place.

Well there is one person there that has firsthand knowledge of the incident. Your entire argument fails because of that.

I’m sorry you’re butt hurt. Try Vaseline

It is not clear what you mean by “firsthand knowledge.”

Was this person actually present when the “incident” occurred? If so, did this person actually see what happened? If the answer is “no” to either of these two questions, did Holsinger himself state to this person what occurred during the “incident”? Did the individual who was “shoved” tell this person directly what happened?

Otherwise, it’s still just a rumor. If it’s true, Holsinger is a miscreant and a jerk (at a minimum, because the actions may constitute battery or perhaps assault and battery) who should not be coaching the team, but no one should jump to conclusions based upon a rumor.

I won’t comment on the church accusation or the Vaseline comment because I think both are out of line.

YOU are the one who brought up the church angle, like what you claim is therefore more believable. Take out 'church' and insert 'behind the Mo Club' or some other reference of your choice, and what have you got?
I'm sure UM has its reasons for sitting on this for as long as they have, legal considerations primarily, but it looks more and more like MSdUi's handling of their boozing coaches. So much for transparency.
If what you claim is true, this 'investigation' would be wrapped up, typed up, and presented to Administration within 24 hours. Ya don't have to be Columbo to put it all together. Oh, just one more thing...UM loses credibility the longer this is dragged out.
Krackwhore is probably on a plane to Missoula as I write this, for his second blockbuster best seller, soon to be a series, about Missoula and UM athletics.

Makes no difference whether it was at church or the Mo Club. Both are social environments where people talk with each other. You just seem to be set off by the word church. Church, Church, Church, Church, Church, Church, Church, Church. There, that should give your mind something to spin out on😁.

Holsinger most likely now has an attorney. That will slow things to a snail pace. And after the Shannon debacle, Haslam will make sure all the T's are crossed.
But with Coach H being placed on leave mid-season, coupled with a disappointing season, an incident of some concern happening, and this being his contract year, he has no chance to remain as head coach at UM. It's just gonna take longer than most of us want.

Yes. At this point, I believe it's the logical and appropriate route tor UM to follow. It also allows the current coaching staff to "audition" for the job, not unlike the time frame given to Mike Petrino in the wake of the SS departure. Here's hoping the team (players and coaches) can make some good things happen in what's left of this tilta-a-whirl season.
