The players are now like the coaches, they can go anywhere to the highest bidder. It's not a bad thing or a good thing, it's just a thing. The days of a kid signing his life away at 18 are over. The NCAA has about as much influence as the Vatican (sorry but lots of you ate meat yesterday).
With the transfer portal and NIL each team, each season will be noticeably different. This will only change once the players start signing contracts, not scholarship offers, which each school.
