I’m not necessarily advocating for rumors to be spilled, but it is a public university and a high profile public employee. His expectation of privacy is diminished. Placing absolute trust in the university to release information when it feels like it is poor policy and I hope the journalists covering the university are pressing officials to release information.

I don't disagree. There is a really tight path to travel between the rights of the public to know, and the rights of those involved. I generally defer to a release of pertinent details so the public is informed.

But I do believe it is appropriate to let the administrative function of the University to complete its legally mandated or suggested process. This comes from working 25 years in public schools and the experience of seeing cart before horse, executioner before jury, before the legal or administrative process works out.

I’m sure UM will be pressed harder for this situation than our friends over the hill were during DUIgate.
 
From everything that is out there publicly, seems it’s pretty safe to assume there was a physical altercation between coaches. And I am assuming he will be done coaching at UM moving forward.
 
sit in the section behind Coach and his family. His wife is a sweetheart, the kids are great, and Coach seems to be the typical coach. Not nearly as intense as Robin Selvig was or Jud Heathcote, but he likes to yell when it seems appropriate to him. As a family, they are a real plus for the community and I hope that the family unit deals with this in as positive a manner as possible. My prayers are with the whole family, Coach included. For the sake of their children, I hope this never comes to light in a way that will harm them.

If it becomes a legal situation then it absolutely will be public record.

In Waded’s world, the story would be suppressed, Holsinger would serve a 1 game suspension, finish this season, receive a pay raise, coach next season and his contract would “not be renewed”, but only if the Lady Griz failed to meet post season expectations. I wonder if their next president will be given the keys to her broom closet and cache of rugs.

You’re not kidding either. She’s swept a lot of shit under the rug. We’ll see if her successor is as successful at that or not.

What a difference everything would have been had royce engstrom and fake news Gwen florio been in Bozeman and waded in missoula. Oday tried to keep heads level but RE was an absolute idiot. I just hope this current event doesn't blow up.
