Early look at top 25 for 25

I think for the most part that's pretty reasonable. NDSU will be the clear number 1 with the sheer amount of guys they return. Don't really know much about Illinois State and what they have coming back but 6 seems kinda high for them. I'd also have Tarleton above both URI and Villanova. I'd also drop Idaho into the teens for now and have Sac State higher than them. Lehigh at 13 seems high but again idk what they have coming back. I also would've had NAU ranked since they have a lot returning including Ty Pennington.

NDSU was so senior heavy. I really see USD as the team to beat this year, mainly d/t returning the most important position on the field and trajectory Nielson has them on.

That's pretty generous/optimistic, especially considering we lost to two teams that missed the playoffs.

I think # 7 is reasonable since we don't know who are QB is going to be Jensen, Ah Yat or someone else ( I did notice Haley mentioned only Jensen, not Ah Yat.) And he mentioned some of our incoming portal transfers, like Wortham, who if he stays healthy, probably plays a very key role for as both as a returner, slot receiver, and possibly as a Wildcat QB.

I think # 4 for the Shi##y Kitties is overly generous since they lost TM and only have a dim idea of who is going to replace him at QB at this point plus almost half of their team through both graduation and the portal, including 3 All-Americans, 4 if we count TM.

I just hope when the Big Sky preseason polls and national preseason polls come out In July and August, we are #3 or lower in The Big Sky and # 7 or lower in the national polls--having us at the top of The Big Sky or national polls has--at least for us--has been the kiss of death !!! Exhibit A is the 2024 preseason Big Sky and national polls where we were supposed to win the Big Sky and we're # 3 in the national polls.

Isn’t it New Mexico State?
I guess I'll be explicit regarding brewski's post: Who cares? He is no longer at Montana, so why should we care that he and last year's team lost to 2 non-playoff teams? He's not going to be playing Weber this season, so what he did last year doesn't matter at all.

Yep, that loss to Webrr last year was a 100 % on our QB--our anemic offense only scored 48 --48 lousy points !!! What football team wins a game scoring only 48 points with their QB passing for only 344 yards ?

Once again you've completely missed my point.
