SDSU Dlineman to Montana

Good idea but if they leave it will be to the cougars.
Any of the really good SDSU players will be going to WSU with Rogers.
Why would any of them come here when they have an inside track to playing at WAZZU?

Because they aren’t good enough to start at WSU, or they want to play right away?
I think most of them are.
Edit: I guess I misread your post. I think they definitely have ones that can start, and I doubt the ones that couldn't would prefer to start at Montana over starting at SDSU.

Because they want to win championships and know that WSU will not be that team next year.

Maybe, but it may depend on who coach and staff are and how it looks like SDSU will be next season and beyond.
Yeah, very true. There's certainly no harm in offering some if they do jump in, but I have my doubts that we'd land any of them.

Something else that might convince them to come to UM: visiting Pullman !!!
Maybe this information is really dated, but 30 years ago when we were in Pullman for The GRIZ-WAZZU game, I wasn't super impressed and a lot of the WAZZU kids told us they spent quite a bit of down time in Moscow, Idaho, only about 10 miles east of Pullman. And several WAZZU alum told us their alma mater had trouble recruiting kids to Pullman because unless you're a wheat farmer, it's in the middle of fricking nowhere !!!
Pullman seemed like a nice small, town, but there didn't seem to be much going on in " The Palouse." I know that it is a good school--my cousin went to veterinarian school there and one of my favorite UM profs Harry Fritz I think earned his PH. D @ WAZZU as well as the late Dr. Craig Wilson here @ MSU-B in Billings: Craig was both a GRIZ undergrad and masters, and also earned his PH. D @ WAZZU and was an outstanding pol. science professor !!!
And to be fair, while I have spent a lot of time in SD, it's been primarily in The Black Hills, Spearfish and Deadwood. I understand Brookings is not so scenic.

I have several friends that I refer to as flat-landers. They get claustrophobic in the mountains. Missoula might actually hold little appeal from a geographic standpoint. Hard to believe, but true. Downtown Missoula beats the heck of out Pullman or Brookings. Might not matter though.

Sadly, I think SDSU transfer linemen might be able to start at WSU. Indicates how far they have dropped off since the rest of the PAC 12 left them and Oregon State on the sinking ship. Incredibly so since Leach left. He had very good linemen that could line up with most PAC 12 teams.
I can tell you a lot of Texans feel that way about the mountains. Weird to me, but whatever.

My cousin was this way. Grew up in Butte and Missoula til she was 10. Then moved to Midland. Every summer she would come up to montana and she would talk about feeling like she was surrounded and felt unease from the mountain. I thought it was one of the craziest things I had ever heard.
