As much as i hated to see that to be honest.I just noticed, MSU went 0/2 passing in the 2nd half. They were definitely in kill the clock mode.

Play calling did seem to go more conservative and slower tempo. USD has been great at taking away the ball and I think the Vigen wanted to mitigate that risk as much as possible knowing we have a lead. Credit to USD as they made defensive adjustments and played well the second half.More in response to AZ Griz …..Don’t the Cats normally burn clock through sustained long drives with the vast majority of those plays called being runs at the start of games? Their play calling really doesn’t change. Tommy still kept the ball on option reads and attempted passes to get first downs in hopes of icing the game. You are delusional if you think the Cats were just trying to go 3 and out and to “burn the clock” as you say. They did not score a point the last 25 minutes of the game…..you think they were trying to not score at all? USD had the ball inside the 10 yard line two times and wasted both opportunities by throwing away a down each drive as a result of errant snaps. My whole point “self-inflicted”. Explain to me how that is not?
How did crowd noise cause the first errant snap? I didn't see it very well.Play calling did seem to go more conservative and slower tempo. The crowd atmosphere caused the two errant snaps. It’s a big part of the home field advantage that aided last years Griz team with wins over Furman/ NDSU. FCS playoff seeding has become very important as it’s tough to win on the road.
I think MSU was slightly better overall and obviously played well enough to win at home. Don’t really see your point that USD lost only because of self inflicted errors. It seems like the narrative is that the Cats just get lucky every week….
I haven’t watched on the replay but looked to me like the centerHow did crowd noise cause the first errant snap? I didn't see it very well.
I know you weren't commenting on my post, but I didn't think the Cats were lucky at all. They played well, and Tommy was great and killed USD on picking up 3d downs and more. But the errant snaps and a few untimely penalties cost USD from getting back in the game.

I was at the game and didn’t see the replay. It looked like the snap was low but still hit the QBs hands. I thought it might have been communication issue from the noise but could have just been a bad snap. How did crowd noise cause the first errant snap? I didn't see it very well.

Have lots of friends who are misguided GRiZ fans I’d go to the matts for. Can’t think of 1 who’s close to a troll actually. Good ppl. The trolls here on EG are the bad actors. The trolls, not the rest of you. Same as those Cat fans you all despise. You have a frontal lobe, use it. Root for Tommy & Co. it’s a great story , & will only intensify our rivalry. Hint: a rivalry should be fun!
Their lines weren't in control according to people that know more than me and who I trust. Two good lines going at it. Our running was limited because of how good their safeties coming down were. That one dude is a stud. And our d line was effecting them.I haven’t watched on the replay but looked to me like the center

Completely agree. Their offensive and defensive lines were also in control for the most part. Glad we played them at home. We also had the good fortune of having what looks to be the best qb in the country!
Yep, this. I like to watch the line play and I will say there were stretches where USD beat us on both lines. But, that didn't last and the Cats got back to winning the lines during certain stretches. It was more like heavyweights trading blows along the O and D lines.Their lines weren't in control according to people that know more than me and who I trust. Two good lines going at it.
