UM has top players transferring in, Cats have top players transferring out

Yes, that was my point. They were good players, and they didn't want to stick around to play with their teammates and friends. Wilson loved the Griz program and the coaches. Just wanted to try a higher level. I don't know anything about Jackson. But that's only 2 players in any event, and Jackson isn't nearly as good the Cats who left.

I would never leave my teammates, team and friends for money. Shows those Cats are at least a bit selfish. Gubner and Bergen didn't leave the Griz, nor Gillman (yet). Griz don't have many guys in the Portal, compared to most schools. I hope Vigen moves on. With him gone, Tommy gone, and a bunch of seniors gone, it will be nice to see the Cats struggle.
Bergen stayed because Welnel got him paid--no other reason.

Hoops you are just making unfair assumptions about the Cat players who left. Like Riley, they loved their time with the Cats and teammates. You don't know what their family financial situation was or their motivation for leaving. Most all of them got substantial amounts of money. I know one OL that wanted to be closer to home because of a death in the family. Also, like Riley, wanted to try a higher level. Maybe improve their chances of an NFL opportunity. Nothing to do with being selfish.

I'm not making unfair assumptions. I based my comments on having loyalty to team, friends and the school. All those other reasons are selfish. I'm not excusing Wilson either, and he was the player I knew best, and liked, and communicated with frequently. He had transferred in, though, and only been at UM for 2 seasons. Other than saying transferring players are often a bit selfish, I was expressing what I would or wouldn't have done. I'm a loyal guy. I loved my friends and teammates. Many are still my best friends in life.

I just don't think doing things for your family is selfish. I guess everyone thinks of what is loyal differently.

A program is more than success on the field. The Cat is weaker the Griz in multiple respects. And now your coach may be leaving. Are you still not able to admit that Cats didn’t play in 2 semifinals in recent history, not 1. And that, technically, Cats didn’t play in 4 in a strict 5-year period?
I have zero clue what you're talking about... but not surprising with how complex your spins can get lol

Ahh... so you're not a welcher but rather you proposed a bet, then got him to accept, then you pussed out and changed your mind? Got it.
Not that it matters, but technically Hoops' initial post was asking if they should bet and inviting the other to name the terms. Once terms were named, there was no acceptance. It was, at best, an agreement to agree on mutually agreeable terms yet to be agreed upon.

Think of it like this: You're suing me for $1 million and we both agree we should settle. I say, "What's your demand (terms)?" You say, "$999,999.99, and I get to kick your dog." I'm under no obligation to accept just because I solicited the demand. Hope this helps (honestly).

Obviously next year will be harder than this year but we don’t lose as many as you think. Tommy will be huge but Chance Wilson has great potential as well as River Warren. Wehr, Sain, Reed, Perkins, and McCullouch are all we lose offensively on the 2 deep. On defense we lose Schmidt (injured all year), Grebe, McCade, Danny U (injured all year), Jackson, Ortt, Woodard, Johnson. All defensive positions have good depth under them. The only big hole to fill will be Tommy but Chance has gotten a lot of snaps and Warren gets here in January. Vigen is a great coach but Daly could fill his shoes easily. Will we go undefeated again? No, but we definitely will continue to be a top BSC team with Eck gone and Missoula in a bad spot. Sac should have a decent year but we don’t play them. I see the cats going around 9-3 with losses at Oregon and against SDSU.

I understand what you’re saying. I don’t agree with the logic, especially when someone spends copious amounts of time bragging about his success and the multiple international trips he takes every year, only to puss out and not accept the (in my honest opinion) very fair terms. He called me a pussy and said I would be too scared to bet him. I was more than willing and even offered to take the Cats at whatever the spread was going to be. I called his bluff and he is full of shit as I always suspected.

No, I didn't propose a bet. I asked if he wanted to bet. No specific bet was proposed. Then I didn't see his later posts or respond. If there is no bet, there is no welch. As I said, people who claim somewhere who hasn't bet, has welched are lying lowlifes.

Based on what you said, Cats will be lucky to field a team.

As CDA said, there was no bet. And, I wasn't following your posts anyway. I almost never notice your posts, and maybe you don't post much or maybe your posts aren't worth looking at. Doesn't surprise me that you can't follow logic. I don't brag either. I'm just keeping the board informed of my trips, so they know why I'm not posting as much.
