UM has top players transferring in, Cats have top players transferring out

Remember that you're talking to the kid who said in another thread that Chambers was the reason you guys lost the Brawl, despite playing 2 whole snaps in the entire game before the score was 37-7.

I think that game would've been a lot closer if Chambers had rotated in with Tommy more frequently before it was out of hand.
Mony is a Butte kid. Probably close to Tommy's age. Might have played with him. Everyone I know that ever had anything to do with Tommy says he is truly a great kid. I think that might have something to do with his loyalty. Tommy is a very good football player as was Chambers. Cats also didn't use him much vs Idaho.

I'm not sure loyalty is what causes someone to give batshit insane takes like that, but that just further goes to prove CDA's Tommy delusion theory.

Chambers was also 1st team all-conference. Without Chambers playing when Mellott was out, the Cats lose more games. I agree that Mellott was better at qb.
First team for AP not qb. Yes he was a phenomenal backup but he made our offense very one-dimensional

I am luckily not a Butte kid. But fairly close to Tommy’s age…

Explains a lot. You got some more developing to do there Mony, but you keep doing you and having your bar room discussions with yourself in the mirror and someday, someone may listen and give you the validation you seek.

119 vs. 92 is not way more in the modern game, but keep telling yourself that he’s a QB and not a glorified RB.
Tommy is a very good football player. Not a traditional QB for sure. I think he does a nice job for Cats but I think he would have been an even better safety. I wouldn't be surprised when he is done if NFL teams give him a look as a safety or receiver. A lot of converted college QB's that can run have made rosters and excelled at other positions. He is a good kid and a good representive of the state.

Can't say a bad word about the kid, except that he made a poor life choice by donning blue and pee yellow.
But as you say, he ain't a DI QB.

To be fair, I believe it was Elrod who came up with the Tommy delusion theory. Basically that the worst thing for them was him leading them to their first NC appearance in like 40 years and being a Montana kid, so now they’re stuck with him now matter what because there would be a riot if he got benched.

Oh whoops. My bad haha.

But yeah, any bub fan shitting on Chambers has full on Tommy derangement syndrome, IMO.

Looks like the premise of this post applies for analysts too. Griz bring in a former NFL head coach and OC with decades of experience as offensive analyst. And the cats bring in…recent graduate Sean Chambers, who will also serve as assistant qb coach.

Of course, there are some exceptions at both schools, but the title of the thread tells me that the UM program is stronger and better now, than the Cats' program. I assume the "program" is the program overall, but also the players, the coaches, the recruiting coaches and players are doing, and the loyalty of the players, or most players. Perhaps the window of observation is not long enough (I'm using the past 2 years or so, and especially this last year and now).

I find it interesting that 3 top lineman for the Cats, didn't want to stay to play with their team and friends and try to get back to Frisco, compared to wanting to do something that would benefit them (but not the Cat team). Some level of individual over team, and a high level of selfishness. To each his own, but give me a Bergen, a Grossman, and various other very good Griz players. Generally speaking, I believe they will go further in life.
I wonder if their friends will be in Frisco partying with them.

Ouch! Hoop's post didn't age well. Cats beat a great team yesterday, and looked to pretty much be in control most of the game, even though it wasn't a blowout. That USD team would have spanked the griz yesterday. But let me guess, Bobby is still the man, better coach than Vigen?

Here comes a post about 2023.....

My thread title was accurate and just fine. Cats were leaving; Griz were staying. Status of a program is not determined by one year. The thread/post was June 9. As of then, Griz program was better than Cats. Hauck better than Vigen, yes. Better staff too. We'll see how far Vigen can get out of his dumpster fire from 2023.

Yep, sounds good. I just hope the Cats can make it to the title game this year. lol
