I would think any institution with two idiot lawyers to rub together, would have performance clauses inserted into contracts and benchmarks that could very easily be used by a 1st year law student to trigger a termination for cause. One would think anyway…

I'll bite. What exactly do you think the benchmarks for performance should be for a clause?
Harm doesn't understand there are escalator clauses / performance bonuses built in UM coaches' contracts that actually make them competitive if they can attain most of the benchmarks. These benchmarks are largely based on attendance and graduation rates, and additional bonuses based on wins, conference championship, beating the cats, playoff wins, natty, etc. . However, the base salary is guaranteed for the contract duration. To buy out the cumulative guarantee, they'd have to come up with somewhere close to $1mm just to buy out bobby. (Roughly)
 
I'm in favor of change. But the change I would like to see are a few tweaks from Bobby. Go outside the comfort zone with assistants (some progress there with the O-Line coach), and a more outgoing approach in public relations. Maybe use Eddie George as an example there. BH seemed to be pretty impressed with him. And don't be afraid to copycat the Dakota States on roster build and scheme. Seems like it's working for them at the FCS level.
