Interesting. Saw this morning he interviewed at Norfolk State. Would not have thought he would be in play at Sac State. They're so desperate to move up to FBS it's not even funny. They're gonna try and use the Deion effect to make their case for FBS except they chose one of the more terrible human beings to play in the NFL. Maybe if OJ were still alive they would've given him a chance.

Seems like an odd hire outside of the name recognition.
He has no head coaching experience at any level, and only OC experience in the Arena Football League. Deion Sanders at least coached at Texas high schools for 8 years before he got the Jackson State job.
Apparently nobody in the Sac State athletic department has a lick of common sense.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but this is probably a bad idea. .
I suppose they have enough common sense to have a stated goal of getting the fuck out of the FCS.
