Pretty sure that I read multiple articles stating why Marshall opted out, including one on ESPN.com.

Every article on ESPN talking about Marshall not playing their bowl game mentions in literally the first 2 sentences that it's about players transferring.

I wonder how this will affect their fan base, and attendance. If the Griz pulled this shit, I as a fan, would be pissed.

How do you think the game against SDSU would've gone if we lost 35+ of our best players before we played it? Would you want to watch that?

Or are you blaming Marshall for their players deciding to leave after their coach got hired away?

Geezus and you claim to know football? The portal has given lots of athletes that were stuck down the depth chart to find a better fit. Gawd do you even pay attention?

Yes, it has given some opportunities, but that's not what our disagreement was about or what you were saying. You had implied and essentially said that all players would getting opportunities. That's not true. And, the Portal has also allowed lots of players to screw themselves for the future. Not only do you not understand football, you can't even remember what you just said.
 
I didn't read the story...but a different one...that they low balled the coach and he said no thanks so left for S. Miss.

Maybe the same ... or not. But I totally agree they offered him zip despite the successful season. Something else going on there, I suspect, but we'll probably never know.

The only way you can argue against facts is with ignorance. The portal is now jeopardizing 1,000’s of student athletes academic future.

College football is all about money now and has turned the sport into a semi-professional sport. NCAA stepped on their dicks on this one. They need to go back to the old platform.
