Real NC Game Next Week in Fargo

I really don’t see NDSU or South Dakota being as good s as the Cats or SDSU. South Dakota has 6 turnovers and still a close game. I hope NDSU wins next week because I like our odds against them vs SDSU

The strength of the Cats is that you need to stack the box to eliminate the run game. Doing so opens opportunity for some great misdirection in the RPO that Mellott runs so well. NDSU doesn’t have the front seven that they did 10 years ago ( they are very similar to last season). I think we beat South Dakota by 14 points, and would have a favorable matchup against NDSU.

South Dakota State is good enough to limit our run game with base defense. They are very very good.

SDSU can pass or run on Cats. Cat O not as good at SDSU D. I didn’t watch much of other games.
 
USD is a good football team but will find it difficult sledding going into bozo and coming out with a win.
bozeman will win that at home.
SDSU IMO is a better football team at this point in the season than NDSU and will beat the bizon.
Leaving a very good msu offense against a very good SDSU defense. Question I would have is the sdsu defense fast enough to keep up? SDSU has a very efficient offense with an outstanding QB and msu’s defense has really gelled in these last few games. I think the key is can msu get enough pressure on the QB because their wideouts are better than msu’s corners. Both teams have great running backs and msu has Tommy as that ever present +1. Better put that lad on his arse often and hard. Primary keys to this game like most is 3rd down conversions and turnovers because it will be close.

Not sure MSU has the defense to keep up with USD’s fast strike offense. USD has some dudes on offense, especially at WR. Their OL is really good and their QB is accurate on down the field throws. The Cats did not get much, if any, pressure on the Idaho QB last game and I see that trend continuing. The Cats have been vulnerable on deep balls and they haven’t seen anything like this offense this season (no offense to UC Davis, but USD is built different). To top it off, MSU’s stud safety also came off of the field limping badly in garbage time against the spuds.

This all adds up to a long day on defense for the Cats. They will need Tommy to be Superman to win this game. Tough to bet against him, but I am inclined to believe their season ends on Saturday.

That would be a pretty big upset. Super difficult to come into Bobcat stadium and beat the Cats..... especially these Cats. Only loss in five years was the blocked XP in OT last year against the Bison. I'm guessing the Cats win by at least two scores, probably similar to how the Cats beat SDSU in the semis.

I think the Vegas odds opened up with Cats as 10.5 point favorites. If you really think the Cats will lose, go make some serious cash.
 
I think cats will win against USD at home. I think they have as good of a shot to win a national title as they’ve had in 40 years…but SDSU defense will slow their offense to 17-20 points and will score more than that to win it all. That’s if they see SDSU in the finals. If it’s NDSU I think cats match up with them better. SDSU is playing as good or better than anyone right now.
 
I don’t think I’ve ever wanted the bobcats to lose badly than I do right now. It’s got nothing to do w the team and everything to do w the hubris on display on our board here and now. Go ... whomever!!
