Sometimes we forget how the national market doesn’t necessarily have a good understanding of FCS.
I remember a few years ago MSU was playing SDSU in the semis and ESPN ran some video packages with a bunch of San Diego State clips.

Despite the annoying cats fans gloating I hope msu takes it this year.
I believe they finally have the horses. Touchdown Tommy Merlot has developed into a true dual threat QB. Their secondary is suspect but the front end of their defense is rock solid. Overall I like their odds and think it’s their year.
Don’t worry though. It will take them at least another 40 years to win again. Not to mention the NCAA will probably mail their trophy to Missoula believing it must have been UM who won it

The bolded kind of hit me driving into the office today. When UM is in it, I'm locked in, and it seems huge. When UM gets knocked out, I can take a step back and look at it for what it is. Does anybody else get a kind of dose of reality once UM's season is over?

Now that last sentence is funny. People I know and run across never mix up Montana with Montana State, but they sure mix up Montana State with Montana frequently. I put all of my Cat stuff on egriz (and one week on the UNM board, but there I was just discussing the substance of the upcoming game). Not anywhere else. And I don't give grief to Cat fans in person. My family is mostly Cat fans, and there are scores of them, mostly in Bozeman. One of our sons is a Bobcat. That's the difference. I'm talking about but the Cats fans and trolls on egriz, as well as some I run across elsewhere along with the jerks chanting crap at games. If Cat fans are going to come into our "house", and be obnoxious, then they will get what they deserve. I'm sure you are too caught up in your narrow world to see the difference. I assume Everett is the same as I am.
