GILLMAN

maybe this has been discussed but isn't Gilham younger brother
coming this year?..would he leave his brother?....doesn't seem like
that kind of guy?

I'm guessing, he's staying 1 more year.
His brother was a rs FR this year. I think he'd like to play a year with his brother.

To add: his mother, seems very supportive of the GRIZ. His family isn't hurting financially.

I had heard, perhaps wrongly, that his parents bought a home here in Missoula, to live in while their sons played here.

Monte is already here and redshirted this year. I would say family is probably very important to him. There was some good pieces last year on his family. Not destroying him every game with 20-30 carry’s probably shows that the staff cares for him over winning and if his parents are happy with them both here that could go a long ways. Is that the only factor anymore, highly doubtful.

Time will tell. He’s been fun to watch. He will be fun to watch develop through his senior year. Hopefully here.

I heard that too.
With 2 sons at the same school, it would make sense to have a place here. At the very least, for the kids to live in.

Mom is a politician. She could have a pretty open schedule for weekend travel. She's at most the home games.

Monte is a true freshman. He's faster than Eli, but tiny.
I looked him up on your roster. Listed as an inch shorter and 10 lbs lighter than Drew Deck. And there's 2 school years between the two right now. So not a RB but probably a WR?

I got curious so I looked up presumably who their mother is. If anyone knows her they should let her know this is how her bio reads:

"She and her husband Brian and I have been married for 27 years. They have five children and understand how decisions made today will affect generations to come."

1st person and 3rd person in the same sentence.

It's the big uglies. We need bigger stronger ugli
What I am sharing is nothing against Gilman, I think the last post is correct. He is a heck of a talent, I just thought that these are some interesting statistics. I actually hope he comes back home to finish his college career.

Since I did point out his statistics w/o TSU I am including TSU’s numbers for each game and the season. The Griz did have the most yards and YPC against TSU. I just don’t think they are on the same level as the other teams that the Griz have played in the last two years against the likes of your rival and the other playoff teams.

In summation from the statistics it definitely looks like the Griz need to improve their o-line. Against playoff teams Gilman has definitely fallen off from his season averages.

Hopefully your coaching staff can make improvements on the line. If they don’t I think Eli should transfer for his senior year.

It's been my experience that any post that begins "this is not a comment meant to troll" is a comment meant to troll.

You’re welcome to point out how it’s trolling. Since I’ve posted that, I’ve seen Griz fans and media types post basically the same sentiment. You’re a good poster, but you’ve been pretty sensitive lately.

I did just that in the post you quoted.
