2025 Schedule - 8 home games?

I didn’t realize this but I was just looking at the 2025 schedule. It looks like we have 12 games again (that surprised me) and we have 8 home games (that also surprised me). 8 home games helps us a lot.

Is this thing correct?

Outside of Idaho and the cats it’s a cupcake schedule, or at least should be. Need a qb and big improvements in the trenches or hello 7-5.

I think it helps us out huge in the regular season, although it could hurt us in the playoffs. We have a lot of new shoes to fill (especially at QB, hopefully) and getting comfortable at home could come back to haunt us in the playoffs if we are playing a decent team on their turf, if we get that far.

Careful, don't show this thread to Kyle Sample. He doesn't care about any of the bigger picture issues surrounding a Football season like the schedule or the makeup of other teams. No he just wants to be of the opinion that we're hopelessly screwed forever without even acknowledging that things can change in the offseason.

That dude has hated Hauck forever because of when he was a media guy

Year after year I always look where the bye is. When it is in the beginning of the season, I think to myself that makes no sense for the health of the team, why would we schedule it for week two they are still fresh? When it’s later in the season it’s great timing because the Griz can get healthy for the late season push. Next year schedule is beyond ridiculous all for an extra home game. The Sacred Heart game is not needed in my opinion.

Seems like this is out of context to his point.

It may be needed if we end up shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic with the QB room again! 🤣 /sarcasm

With 8 home games and 4 road games, if we only lose 2 games in the year, we’re looking at playoff games in Missoula through the quarterfinals. The goal is to get as many playoff games at home as possible before having to go on the road.

I think next year will be way more of a rebuild year. I’m guessing a 7-5ish type year, maybe a 8-4 with only 7 d1 wins.

I think (other than QB) the pieces are there to have a good offense. The defense not so much.
