2025 Transfer Thread/ Portal Offers-- (31) Transfers to UM

Do you think Fife talked to Vidlak last year and showed up anyway, or didn't talk to him?

Either way, I still don't think it's a big deal.
I suppose it could be no big deal but players talk. My son when being recruited for junior hockey or select baseball did plenty of research before deciding where to play. Do you not think these things are not considerations when deciding on which football program is his best fit. If the kid has no options it may make no difference but if he does I would guess that he would weigh that stuff when deciding.

There are disgruntled players that leave every program every year. If incoming players exclusively talked to and took the opinions of these players as gospel, no one would ever go anywhere. The players go on visits, talk to current players, and meet the coaches themselves.

I'm sure they'll also reach out to McDowell, who has nothing but good things to say about our program and coaches.

The only people I see making this claim are people that either don't like Bobby or the Griz, or people that want it to be true because they think our coaches should be punished for how they handled Logan's situation.

Ok I hear you but definitely disagree. McDowell said he didn't have a problem with the coaches publicly just like the others. But what would he say in a private conversation? Does it make sense that he left for family reasons? He went to Temple then to McNeese St.

He went to an FBS team that gave him a shot, and then very suddenly left for mysterious reasons, almost like something personal happened that made him want to leave, despite having an inside track to the starting job.

But you're right, he's probably lying about his family issues.

General numbers

Seniors =25
Transfers out= 1
HS Recruits from Dec= 16

So 10 Available
But Hauck likes to keep 3 for Spring

So unless others leave I would expect about 7 new transfers
Don't forget that we'll see some lower depth guys leave, as well, and that's before considering any other transfer losses of impact players. The total number of open roster spots will likely be closer to 15+, IMO.

Should have stayed. Rode the bench in Seattle. Not sure what the attraction of that is.
Part of it might be that Washington was home. He was only in Missoula for his senior year. He has family connections at UW, also. I'd bet he told himself that with hard work he wouldn't be on the bench long.
