This staff

Is outdated, their ways of coaching don't work anymore. We need to bring in a whole new staff.

How is it MSU and Idaho can make good hires but, the griz can't? The key to success is clearly get anyone that's been on an NDSU coaching staff.
I suggest you run be a but gargling fan boy of one of those teams then.

I’ve been a big Hauck supporter. But I agree. And the answer falls on Haslem. It’s his ship. And he hasn’t met expectations.

🤣 I've been a griz fan since a baby. Nothing will change that. When you have the best facilities and best stadium and fan base in all of a division, there's no reason to settle for this mediocre bullshit.

Only one reason any team should win recruits over the griz is because of academics. If only Missoula had an engineering program, it might change things dramatically.

Still not an excuse though. Griz should be contending for a championship in this watered down division every year.

The summer of 1940 saw the Battle of Britain, the aerial conflict between the Royal Air Force and the German Luftwaffe, reach its apex. When in this speech Churchill stated 'Never in the field of human conflict was so much been owed by so many to so few', he was paying tribute to the enormous efforts made by the fighter pilots and bomber crews to establish air superiority over England.

For some reason, this quote came to me after the 'game' SDSU played with our Griz. With a slightly different twist, though. This years team and coaches failed, overall. Periods of brilliance, abject stupidity, no continuity. The only consistency was their inconsistency. 9-5 is hardly failure to any other team. Nothing to suck on a gun barrel over. But this is GRIZ FOOTBALL! The standards and expectations are higher.

Back to the quote, this year, 'never was so much owed by so few(players and coaches)to so many(fans).'
Sugar coat it all you want, sugar coated shit is still shit. The 'Portal' opens Monday. Hang on.

End rant.

This is naive thinking.
In the fcs... What other reasons? Maybe closer to home or lifelong fans of that program? If you want to play for a team with an awesome atmosphere, have great facilities, support etc. UM is basically unmatched in the fcs. MSU is really one of the few schools that even come close.

Most these fcs schools are equal to decent high school facilities.

Its not all about facilities, atmosphere, etc. Kids will select a school on many things that UM can't match. Weather, staying close to home, girlfriend, etc. Hell, they just had a kid pick Tech and it had nothing to do with any of the reasons you stated.

BH has always been loyal to his friends/coaches. But if his quote that the Griz won’t be entrusted to the timid or weak is true, then he needs to let some folks go.

The kids played their hearts out, but the staff failed them.

Recruiting is also an issue. A big hurdle seems to be the courses offered at UM aren’t what’s in demand today. Hard to pay your college loans back on a LA education/degree.

Kids on athletic scholarships and receiving NIL money have student loans? Many cat players are education, liberal studies, computer science or business majors. In fact, out of their entire roster I saw only 13 who were majoring in an “actual” engineering field.

NDSU pays 3k plus in TCOA money to their players.

In spades. I don’t buy that argument at all. Look at the degrees being obtained by football players across the country. Program offerings or degrees isn’t a legitimate excuse in the majority of cases.
Whether it’s a legit excuse or not, it certainly seems to come up as a reason recruits went elsewhere. Of course, it could just be an excuse rather than the real reason, whatever that may be.
