Early Signing Class - O Line Emphasis

I said it on X and believe it to be true, but this is the best oline class I can recall in many years. Size is great, but the TYPE of size is different than what our trend has been. Long frames, but decent weights, with one huge weight. They all seem to move well with great feet. All lettered in other sports as well. Block finishing tape. If they have a dominant mindset with an attitude of improvement we're in great shape with this oline class!

I certainly agree, but we need to do a better job of keeping our highly ranked HS OL recruits. We've had quite a few come though the program since 2018 that never made any sizeable contribution on the field. Hopefully all 5 of these guys stick around and dominate.

TWO guys on the defensive roster over 270. DE's in the 235-253 range. That ain't gonna cut it...

edited: we have two guys...Hayden and Ramos...That's it.
UM's 3 DL starters are 6'5", 255, 6'4", 253, and 6'2", 285. If UM played 2 DT's, I assume it would be Ramos. He is 6'4", 285.

MSU's DL from this week's Game Notes are: 6'1", 245, 6'2", 280, 6'3", 290, and 6'3", 250.

Doesn't that show that UM's DL is slighter bigger than MSU's.

MSU's linebackers are 6'0", 225 and 6'0", 220.

UM's are 6'1", 235, 6'2", 230 and 6'2", 235.

Definitely. I recall from Bobby's first few classes seeing some big / good looking kids, and many haven't panned out. I know pawluk is very preferential to recruiting freshman and development, so I'm hoping this class of athletes have the right mindset and ability to come in and improve, get bigger faster and stronger, and become Dominant. Here's to hoping! Initials returns are promising with pawluks first recruiting class.

Yeah, that's awesome. Who backs up Ramos and Hayden in that scenario? Some 245 pounder?

Does a flex DE line up in the middle and rush at the middle at times? I don't know.
A better term would be flex pass rusher, but in all honesty, I don’t see a ton of difference. Anybody who watches Riley play understands.

But yeah, moving your best pass rusher around to get ideal, or even just different matchups is becoming more and more common.

Kanakaloe is a 3 star kid, big OL, so on paper, yes, he could be an athlete that OSU would offer a scholarship to, just like Choda did @ Nevada. Oregon State, especially now that's in the PAC-2, isn't exactly it's archival to the south in Eugene, recruiting only 4 and 5 star athletes !!!

On paper, a great class, 9 of 16 kids are 3 stars, and on the field, we will find out starting in 2-3 years, just like all of our previous recruiting classes !!!

I do have faith in our staff in general and Justin Green in particular and their/ his recruiting process !!!
IF they stick around 2-3 years. If I was a 3* OL and wanted to play but was told I have to sit behind guys who are clearly not as athletic or talented, I would be gone , gone, gone, especially now that there is no penalty to transfer.

If he is that good, why would he sit behind a guy not as athletic or talented?
