Leaf

He volunteers and does free speeches to bring awareness to recovery. He spoke at the Montana State prison and a few other drug/alcohol recovery centers. Seems to understand how big of an ass he was and wants to give back. Try to give people the benefit of the doubt when they are trying to do better.
Perhaps he should learn to treat others with grace. If that happens maybe he’ll be afforded the same, but until then he gets what he deserves.

I would have been with you on this point as he had made a turn around, was becoming an advocate using his story as a warning, and was working his way up in the broadcast ranks. He put a stop to it himself though with his domestic violence issue. And despite all of it the dude still doesn’t have any genuine humility. He’s got anger management issues and self control issues clearly that go beyond substances.

Laughable that MSDUI brought in a recovering addict (who fucked up his second, third, and fourth chances) in the midst of having not one, but two coordinators and an assistant with pending DUI’s/related cases. Pretty good decision making all the way around. How many chances are we supposed to give people? Garza had essentially 4. Leaf has half a dozen going back through his playing/coaching/speaking/announcing days.

I have relatives in Great Falls and quite a few friends from there that say this exact thing. His family is so nice and he's a complete asshole. Come to think of it I have never heard anyone say anything positive about him. Sad, what a waste of life
He has a rep as an ass, so I'm not trying to convince you otherwise. But I have heard people say some nice things about him.

Someone should ask your "yahtzee!!" Dude. He went to the same high school. I think he may have been a freshman when Leaf was a senior. Speaking of him has he dated anyone other than his wife ever? They were high-school sweethearts at CMR. I always thought that was pretry cool.

Right, Ryan Humble Leaf, what a joke.

Here's what it comes down to. He's trolling all of you. Hos tweets about the griz are meant to get under your skin and it's obviously working. My guess is he's reading this thread laughing his butt off. You guys are playing into it. Stop posting on this thread. Stop responding on Twitter. You feed the trolling.

Leaf, at one point, was a Sports Communication major, or some such titled academic BS. He came back and got a BA in Humanities in 2005. His 'pronouns, adjectives, adverbs' or whatever have been pretty thoroughly reviewed here, along with a few more. He also has certifications from Montana and Texas Dept of Corrections with Resident Fellow endorsements. The mention of his name in Great Falls elicits an irresistible urge to spit. He is a pathetic parasite, and totally appropriate for the scats. Amen.

Part of why he remains famous is because people give him air time for his constantly acting like such a huge d-bag. Rather than link to his twitter, it is probably just more helpful to let people know the kind of person he is and constantly link to news about how there have been accusations that RYAN LEAF BEAT HIS WIFE AND HE AVOIDED JAIL TIME.

Because I have to imagine that Ryan Leaf would like us to filter people to the places he can monetize, but he cannot monetize the fact that there have been headlines saying the there were accusations RYAN LEAF BEAT HIS WIFE AND HE AVOIDED JAIL TIME.

Just in case there are ever threats of slander or libel or anything, I will submit this link and anybody can google about the fact that there were accusations that RYAN LEAF BEAT HIS WIFE AND HE AVOIDED JAIL TIME.

This!

Does any one remember his cousin that played for Havre? Matt Kiegel or something like that?? Everyone in our conference hated that guy, but he could spin the ball for sure. Did he end up playing college football?

I am all for giving people second chances, and I thought the story Elrod posted about Leaf and domestic abuse was from his first marriage 20-25 years ago, ancient history before he bombed out of The NFL, was sentenced to Deer Lodge as a felon, went to rehab, before he supposedly turned his life around.

It wasn't--it was from a domestic abuse charge filed against him from Mar. of 2020. How many chances are we supposed to give Leaf ?

And just last week, he's sucking up to GRIZ Nation on social media before the TSU game. And now this week, he says we are the worst fans in the Big Sky Conference !!!

How many chances do you give someone before you conclude, like our late family friend who had Leaf as a student @ CMR did, that he is s hopeless a$$hole that's never going to change ?

Then why did he put the Griz thing in his tweet. I knew him a bit when he was in high school and he was good to our younger football son. My daughter was good friends with his middle brother. I have run across him other times. I have semi defended him multiple times. At this point, F him.

Matt Kegel, 6'5", 227# Washington State, GRADUATED. Got a pro-look bye cut in round 3. I remember a story he told about his cuz Ryan. Seems they were on some road trip, and Matt was wearing a U-Dub cap. Ryan snatched it off his head and tossed it out the window, placing Ryans Wazzu cap on his head. The rest is history.

I met Kegal in Missoula through Swogger. Seemed like a great guy.
