Bummed out that he did not get to play against Ten State.
Was he dressed or in street clothes?
Does anyone know if he will be available against SDSU?

Having experienced same injury I can attest to severity. I suffered transverse fracture and resulting surgery, rehab is quite a long journey. Worst of all my FB injuries. But this guy is a warrior, he’ll be fine. Thanks to him and what he has meant to Griz in his career at UM!

Thanks grumpa--I saw some still pictures of some of our kids in games including Nick and it looked like they were not wearing knee pads, not a great idea in my mind but what do I know having not played tackle football in 40 + years Is this now common--no knee pads ?

Thanks to Nick for being a hard-nosed GRIZ RB for the last six years and being very good running the ball and creating many great memories--I just wish his career ended differently but that's unfortunately football !!!

Nothing against Ostmo at all but was fun to see Fonoti and Rocker. Fonoti's first series resulted in missed FG I think but kind of got the running game going for rest of game. He's tough to bring down and seems to find pretty small holes.

Okay grampa go back to bed.
Did you play? I recall knee pads as a good protection to the blows one gets playing. Like wearing a seat belt driving. Another change is gloves. How many passes are muffed nowadays because gloves don't permit the fingers to have their "feel." I often notice balls bouncing off receivers hands because they are wearing those damn gloves.

Man, I used to think the same until I wore a pair of receiver gloves playing catch with a neighbor kid. Those gloves are incredible. No clue about the knee pad thing, though.

Sorry just trying to be funny. But yes played both football and wrestled in college. Just wore a knee pad when I wrestled. There are different rules on what pads are required between high school and college.
