QB who?

So with Fife getting benched after his two fumbles, who does Bobby start against SDSU?

Did Fife bang up his right hand or something? Maybe not able to hold the ball well.

Once Ah Yat came in last night I honestly didn’t get this yes okay here we go feeling. I was like uhh whaaa. Then that misque handoff happened I thought well this could be it this year.

Who knows if either will stick around next year. If Fife doesn’t get to play this next Saturday I’d say he is all but in the portal.

I’d love to see us land another Dalton Sneed type kid or Jordan Johnson, Behind and improved Oline of course!

When we recruited Huot, I thought our QB worries were over. It looked like he was next in a long line of stellar QB's from the ranks of Montana high school football. And while I've never seen him play, I can't imagine how he'd be worse than the two QB's we have now.

But I'm biased against 6-foot QB's in an age when linemen are so big. Gimme some size at that position.

And absolutely stunned that a school with Montana's reputation at the FCS level could have a year with such inferior play at the most important position on the field.

Huot, definitely. Fife failed. Maybe his throwing hand is injured. Did anything get mentioned at the post game presser? Ah Yat is still a work in progress, and very little 'progress' on that front. SDSU is gonna steam roll 'em anyway. Bobbys QB strategy failed. I wouldn't doubt all three hit the portal, or even a player Exodus of Biblical proportions.

Why would Ah Yat even think of leaving? He has a bright future here.

Moving forward, I want the best passing qb possible as the GRIZ qb. I want a qb capable of winning if forced to passing.

I want a qb that can truly put the team on his back, when called for.

I'm sick of having a limited passing game.
Then again, it might only take a change in philosophy and OC.

This is what I want as well, Rule. The thing I struggle with is how more than several want Huot to “get a shot”. I don’t think elimination games are really the occasions to “give a shot” to a dude who hasn’t (to my knowledge) taken a meaningful CFB snap. If such a person is truly the answer, we have way bigger issues than him not starting at QB.

Completely agree.

Long line of stellar QB’s from Montana High School Football?? What are you talking about?

We have a good chance to win with Fife playing.

I believe Ah Yat will be a stellar QB some day and likely in a Griz uniform. Very few young players are proficient or impressive when they are freshman or sophomores. The game is too fast. Same in BBall. Age, experience and the weight room make a world of difference. I do think Huot deserves a shot. He is extremely talented.

Please don’t take this as a dig, but, against whom?

We should hit the portal for an FBS guy that isn’t starting on his team but is going to be elite in the FCS.
