fonoti (sp?)

damn that guy is good. like, really good. wonder why he didn't play in the 2nd half? i know gilman was doing great, but...
I agree with you, but he did get some snaps in the fourth quarter. I suspect the coaches are trying to save him for the next game since he is the more physical back of the bunch. I also think Rocker Jr could be exceptional. His one fault is not planting and turning up field. Too much dancing around.

I said this to the people I was sitting with, but Gillman got bottled up early and was having a hard time getting it going, and so was Rocker. But the minute they put in Fonoti, he got it going and had some good hard runs that I believe opened things up for Gillman and Rocker. After that, all the backs had a great night, but it was really Fonoti that sparked the ground game for us.

I notice that to that Fonoti gashed through these smaller holes more quickly than Gillman or Ostmo did all year...with Fonoti suddnly gashing through these, something clicked with the OL line and it was better going for Gillman the rest of the night.

I think the radio said Gillman had 6 yards in his first 5 carries. I think the goal was to run right at nos. 2 and 4, let them get overconfident, and wear them out. They did wear out.
