Bozeman State bobcats scouting report

This was a terrible prediction! lol. For future reference it's OK to HOPE your team wins yet be smart enough to base your prediction based on what you think will really happen. You should get a chance at this again here in a couple weeks when the griz travel to Brookings. :)

"But give me MONTANA! I don’t know how, and I don’t even know why I’m doing it. I think the Griz have something up their sleeve and if they can do just enough and play with some new found swag, they could steal it. Against all reason and all expectations I’m going to predict a Griz win like no other, 41-39."

"Griz fan hopes his team can win the game" isn't the burn you think it is lol

This game just feels a lot like the National Championship to me. Sure, if everything breaks right and all our players step up and have the game of the season can we win? Absolutely. But I just get this feeling if we play this game 100 times the Cats are going to win 98. Cats are better than us at almost every position. It's going to take one hell of a gameplan that I just haven't seen this season from the Griz.
I don't agree. If the Cats can stay in the tourney long enough, I hope we can play them again, and beat them. Cats are not better at almost every position. Not left d-end. Not linebacker. Not RB. Not receiver. Not every OL position. Not all of secondary. Yes, overall in the 2 lines and QB. And Cats have some good RB's.

I’m convinced you’re a cat troll. I would say your showing signs of sundown syndrome but it’s only 4pm.

Ha! Yep, again, back to the point of hoping for one thing but predicting the other. Let's say someone approached you right before kickoff and said the'll give you a million dollars if you predict the winner of the game? I know... those hypotheticals suck as a fan. Anyway, I'm just giving you a little shit after that prediction, trying really hard not to be a dick lol. You do an excellent job with your write ups, analysis, and basing your predictions on the data, 99% of the time.

Left DE? Brody Grebe is probably the best DE in the country. Our lines are better at every position and our 3rd string RB ran for 200 how can you say such crazy things.

I was talking about our left DE Hayden Harris. Harris has 7 sacks, all solo. Aveages .63 per game, for 77 yards. Harris has 15 TFL's. Grebe has 6 sacks, all solo, averaging .55, for 36 yards. Greve has 7.5 TFL's. Harris has 43 tackles, 26 solo, and 1 interception. Grebe has 28 tackles, 16 solo, and 0 interceptions.

Where are Grebe's stats? They don't look so hot.

Your frosh rb Jones had one long run against Griz and an otherwise good game, averaging only 4.5. He's gotten 731 yards for season. He has 15 receptions for 126 yards. Our frosh rb averages 176 per game. Ha. Gillman has 956 yards and 13 TD's, and Ostmo has 769. They have 18 and 20 receptions for 176 and 144.

Griz running backs are better and deeper. We have 5. Ours aren't hurt like yours are and have been.

How can you say such dumb stuff? You don't even have stats to back up what you say.

Best DE in country. What's your backup for that, other than pulling it out of your behind?

I appreciate your trolling. This bait will catch somebody.

Very stats focused post. Have you ever played the game. If so, I would assume that you understand that you can't entirely identify who is a good player based on stats. I guess Gubner was only the 40th best defensive lineman last year in the Big Sky Conference since he only had 3 sacks. Maybe someone with some D1 experience can shed some light on this for us.

Grebe’s stats are down because of scheme. I would also bet he gets less snaps. Teams game plan heavily against Grebe with quick passes and runs away from him (exactly what you saw on Saturday).

Gilman’s last 5 games
10 carries for 35 and 1 TD
14 carries for 134
8 carries for 21
11 carries for 17
12 carries for 39

Jones’ last 5 games
25 carries for 197 and 2 TD
11 carries for 34
5 carries for 159 and 1 TD
10 carries for 61 and 1 TD
11 carries for 39 and 1 TD

Note Jones is the 3rd string RB and has 50 less yards than Gilman on 12 less carries. Julius Davis, Scottre Humphrey, Jones, Coon, White, and Latin-Henley are a better group.

Winning on road and home field advantage are not judged by 2 games. They are judged by many seasons of data. How can you ask such dumb questions?
First time since 2018 tha Griz have lost twice at home.

We'll see what the BSC coaches think. I'm guessing they're going to say you're wrong too. Weren't all conference selections today?

Jones has 908 or 904 yards rushing this season, depending on if you believe ESPN or MT Sports article. Along with 9 TDs. As the #3 RB on the team. Humphrey is still the #1 on the team with over 1200 yards this year and 13 touchdowns despite getting dinged up against UC Davis and not playing against the Griz outside of one carry.

Your statement that the Griz are 5 deep and better than the Cats RBs is laughable at best, but something no matter how loud you yell, can’t be proven by any tangible measure.
