They’re sticking with Best. I swear to God all the reports out of Cheney said this was a contract year for Best, but according to this story on Thursday, Best’s current contract runs through 2027. That’s absurd whoever gave him that.

I don't know about not worrying about EWU the next three years--it took a lights out performance from Logan Fife and our offense to barely win this year by scoring 52 points, and then the Eags hung a ridiculous 77 points on Idaho State costing the Bengals' DC his job two weeks ago !!! ( If Eastern ever develops a decent defense in the next 3 years--a huge IF--they could be kinds good !!! )
My friend that played for Eastern about 20 years ago that now lives in Billings will be glad--although Coach Best, then Eastern's OL Coach, was not his position coach, he has nothing but kind words for and good memories

Ooof I was pretty disappointed to read that report the other day.
The dropoff was immediate once Baldwin's recruits started to graduate. I'm sure Best is a good position or assistant but imo he's just not head coaching material.
