All-Conference Players

Xavier Harris? Didn't he average about 15 yards per play on the one play he got the ball every game? Now you got a stat to track down for us. That kid needed lots more chances. Big time contributor.
Mind boggling to think about, really. X was a pivotal part( along with Childs) as FRESHMEN to beat Washington 😳

How they don’t utilize his skills more blows my mind. He was the ONLY guy to get to the edge today. He looks smooth and quick. Embarrassing utilization of our players, along with play calling, is really hard to digest at times.

Let's be honest; the Cats run an offense where linemen have to pull and trap. We run a program where we celebrate our guys getting fat. "We need more horses with DOLA on the line!!!!". Hope you guys are waving at a train that left the station a long time ago.

He's not as good as Danny U or O'Reilly.
The guys who had 38 and 59 tackles and who are much slower than Wilson? Wilson had 73 tackles. One 49th in tackling in conference only. The other didn’t make top 50. O’Reilly had 38 in conference. Wilson had 58.

Real funny.

This. Not sure I know any Cat fans who wouldn’t take Wilson over those two. He is objectively better and it isn’t particularly close.

Yes, Danny Uluilakepa was every bit as good as Riley Wilson. Unfortunately he got hurt mid-season for the rest of the year. Just because he didn't blitz as much as Wilson doesn't mean that he wasn't as good.

Wilson was and is way better. Not even close.
By what metric? If you are talking about total tackles, then that is flawed due to Uluilakepa being injured for the last 5 games and the starting defense not playing for most of the 2nd half in 4 of the games he did play. Wilson, for all of his preseason accolades has a total of 3 sacks, 0 FF or FR and only 6 QB hits for a guy who rushes the QB frequently. There is no metric you can point to which would say that Riley Wilson had a good year.

Not that he is not good but after last year i thought wilson would be O’connor or braxton hill good and i don’t think he is yet

Wilson is really good if you give him a directive on a play. As, tell him to blitz this gap or that gap, or cover that guy, etc.

Start asking him to read things, and he slows up. Not exactly an instinctive player. Elite athlete, but I don’t think being the lead LB is his best spot.

Let's not forget about his personal fouls, and that time he buried the crown of his helmet into the chin of the quarterback.

That was a bad call by the refs. I saw the team game tape. I know what the coaches thought and talked to Wilson. Bad rule too.
