Where to start?

Truly puzzling play calling. So many weapons on offense it is not funny. D honestly did not play that bad considering how long they were on the field.
D did their job pretty well. Really cannot blame them. They played hard against a very good offense. I am troubled by quite of few years of Bobby defensive teams getting gashed by long runs. I don’t love the 3-3-5

Please. Griz receivers are average. Never get open and never make contested catches. When coverage does break down they usually drop it. We must have zero depth there too because how can you explain the amount of snaps Fontes gets?

I’ve often wondered why it seems like everyone else has a dude that can go up and get it and the Griz… don’t. I love our guys, but fighting for 50/50 balls doesn’t seem to be their strong suit.

Can you remind me who their WR coaches have been in their time here? 😉

Here's where it starts.
These are 4 big boys.
Can they be developed, like Hauck used to develop OL recruits?
Where's the DL beef though?

OL- Forrest Carter 6'6" 290 (Olympia HS) Olympia, WA (T 11/16/24)
OL- Kaikoa Kanakaole 6'5" 340 (St Louis HS) Honolulu, HI (T 11/2/24)
OL- Lincoln Hoefer 6'5" 250 (Meridian HS) Bellingham, WA (T 9/5/24)
OL- Quinlan Hyatt 6'6" 250 (West Valley HS) Spokane, WA (T 7/4/24)

Think Racanelli could be that guy if they gave him more opportunities.
Their stud RB got 25 carries. ours got 10
Our stud WR got 6 touches all day (not counting the stupid end/around pass into the ground)
We decide to throw the ball 34 times in the teeth of a 40 mile/hr wind. 90% of the passes were behind the LOS. 90% of the rushes were attempts to get to the ends instead of N/S.

Brilliant fucking game plan.

Racanelli COULD be that guy, but he’ll NEVER get enough touches to know one way or the other.

Surprised we haven’t seen more creativity. No trick plays today. Punted twice near midfield without faking and could’ve used something to change momentum. Seems like it’s been that way all year.

There was that

There was juniors reverse pass into the turf. We haven’t done much special on special teams this year for sure. The last 6 years have been exciting when watching special teams or the defense. There just hasn’t been that same electricity in either group this year.

They have both improved as the year progressed, but nowhere near the standard set forth the last several years.

Insane to watch. Just past mid field and 3rd and 6. Obvious 4 down territory. They throw a screen for negative yardage and punt.

Give the kids some opportunities to succeed within the play calls. Slants worked all day. TEs never see the ball. Had success running between the tackles. Pease has got to go in my mind.

He had a big opportunity on a 3rd down late in the third. BUT it went right through his hand and bounced off his chest.
He almost somehow caught it with his knees though.
That was a HUGE drop - Griz were marching in Cat territory but then forced to punt. Next play for the Cats Jones runs it 90 yards, they score, and it was game over.

Thanks for the reminder re:JR. I was a little late getting back in at half.

The line of scrimmage. Thats where you start. Our offensive and defensive lines are outmanned way too often when we play good teams.

Speaking Bobby’s language here. To win you run the ball and stop the run.

Stats from the two SDSU games:

Montana 59 rushes for 122 yards. 2.07 YPC
SDSU 76 rushes for 410 yards. 5.39 YPC

It starts with figuring out who our next opponent is, and then beating them.
Hoops. Good to see you. You still haven't given me my flowers for the cat griz game. I wasn't even going to smack talk bc today was so embarrassing but now here you are. Bud I think it's 20 years before you catch up.

Shut up loser. You are on the Griz website? Seriously? Did you guys play today? How'd you do? Who did you play? Don't care. Check out my post on bobcat.com or whatever your site is? Wait, can't find it? Wonder why? Is autofellatio a full degree program at your school?
