Security Person Made Team Go Through Security Before Start of Game

I was told, when our seat neighbors arrived about 10 or so minutes before the game, that a security woman made the team go through security. Our seat neighbors had witnessed this. The team apparently came through a door on the west side of the Performance Center where the special entrance for Canyon Club ticket holders is. There is a new security scanner machine and security person, which is located shortly after holders enter the Performance Center, have their passes scanned, walk up a few stairs, and then turn right down a hall to proceed through the Center to enter the stadium. The team apparently went by people in the scanner line and tried to walk to the side of the scanner (there's plenty of room to walk by). The security person not only stopped the the team and made them go through the scanner, but she also made them get in line, I was told.

No wonder we lost. This rattled the team. She should move her scanner and self to the entrance of the visitor's team in the future. Ha.

Oh the humanity!

That's pretty funny. Something the players will talk about forever. Would have been funnier if they pulled one of them aside to search.

Maybe you could get that security guard to suit up on the OL.

Sounds like inadequate training of the old woman. Probably training stressed screening EVERYONE. Those goddamned terrorists are clever, and would stoop to the level of impersonating a Griz football player to get into WGS before a ESPN2 televised game. After all, a place known as the 'Mecca' of FCS football venues would be a prime target for Muslim nut jobs.

Well to her credit, I got into a game back in the late 90’s by telling the gate person I was a member of the band.
