Griz vs Davis projections

cold.....lol
e-griz….these guys are obsessed with this.

This has never had an impact on a home game for as often as it’s brought up here. You would have thought after the Coastal game (which was actually cold), people would just stop. Plus, supposed to be fairly nice tomorrow. High of 54 degrees and 42 at kickoff. Must be a Missoula thing…..

You've been on this board weekly for decades, how do you not get the cold and loud meme?
Oh, I get that it's a thing, but there are always posters every time the weather starts cooling down that post on here and literally think that it's going to have an impact on the game, especially when a warm weather team comes to town.

I don't think you're getting it. Twenty years ago, some people really thought it was a huge factor. Since then, it has become a running joke. Those who cite the temp as a factor are either (a) ancient, or (b) being sarcastic. I'd guess 95% fall in category (b). I honestly don't know why I have to explain this to you given the amount of time you spend on eGriz.com.

For example, watch this: I don't think these Californy fellers will fare too well once they feel the cold winds of Hellgate Canyon.

That game was the drunkest I’ve ever been in recollection. Coldest game I’ve been too by far. Painful memories 😂

Because...cold.

How can anyone make a prediction on the final score when you don't know what Griz team is gonna show up? Someone made the observation that opposing teams also have a hard time preparing to play the Griz for the same reason.

Cold meant more when the field was grass and basically a frozen skating rink that negated other teams speed and was perfect for a Don Read offensive scheme

Ok, gotchya. So all of these posts were sarcastic, tongue in cheek? Tough to tell sometimes lol

I would be very surprised if UCD comes to WG stadium playing a late night game in the cold and beats UM. The Griz opponents are normally jacked to play in WG stadium which can be challenging but this is a big game for the Griz and they will be ready. I expect a decisive win.

True. Having said that, Davis hasn’t really played a spectacular defense. Maybe Cal, but that was the first game of the year. They have played a lot of close games with teams they should have beat up on. Wa Griz at night, loud and cold. The only question is our offense. Do they let one of the QB’s actually settle in and run the offense for a full game? Doubtful, but that’s probably what needs to happen. The rotation may put me over the edge. Especially when one of them makes a mistake Ike throwing an interception. Bad dog for peeing on the floor. Let’s rub your nose in it. I don’t understand the philosophy. Is there one?

The cold and the crowd are each worth a field goal: 30-24!

If I read Accuweather.com correctly, during game time it is supposed to be in the low 30's with possible rain.
If that is true isn't that really snow?
