He was including playoff games in wins the Cats will need. #1 seeds aren't national titles!
I'm still a bit confused about the post. If he wasn't talking about Playoff seeding when referring to #1 versus #2 below, then I guess he's referring to overall, post Frisco seedings but if that's the case, I don't think the Cats can end up #1 overall by beating just three of the four teams below. Rather it would have to be all four? No worries, it will all take care of itself.
No chance. NDSU is #1 and deservedly so. As a Rabbit fan, that was difficult to type. If MSU is what some of their fans think they are, the Cats will be have to finish out the season beating 3 out of the Grizz, USD, SDSU and NDSU. If they do that, they deserve #1. Right now, #2 is a fair position. Their schedule blows, but they have won every game thus far. I've watched a few of their games and they are pretty decent. The end of the Big Sky and MVFC seasons are going to be crazy. Good luck to you guys and Go Jacks!!

Until someone beats the cats they deserve their ranking. Number one? Not until they go 12 and 0 and win in Frisco do they deserve that ranking. Till then SDSU is the defending National Champions.

Sorry, I just realized what I posted was confusing. Yes, I was thinking #1 as in National Champs. After watching UCD last night, they are pretty decent. If MSU beats them next week and beat you guys in the Brawl a #1 seed would be warranted I think. To go undefeated (even if the schedule is garbage) with wins over a good UCD team and a Brawl win should be enough to move them up. I can also see voters not moving NDSU down if they are to win out. as well. Either way, #1/#2 gets you home field to Frisco. That last week with Cat/Griz and NDSU/USD could be huge. This is what I like about FCS football. Lots of teams jockeying for playoff positions versus a crappy bowl game that anyone who is good will sit out of anyway.
