No, we can’t. Cats’ SOS has been very weak and that may account for some of the wins.

Can you stop talking about how good the Cats are and their record? Then, we might not have to bring up the Cats’ low SOS.

In the Sagarin, Cats are 21 behind the Griz and lowest in the conference. 21 slots is a noticeable but not huge.

No not at all, but it does call into question how good they are. I’m not running around saying how great the Griz are, but some Cats are regarding the Cats. Wouldn’t it be better to show the games go? Won’t the coming games answer alot of questions?

I expect the cats will be 1 seed when playoffs start because A- I don’t see them losing in the regular season and B - I expect bison to lose at USD. More than happy to be wrong that’s just how I see it playing out.

And we should have won against UND and Weber, but here we are. And nobody thinks WE'RE the best team in the country (or #4).

Said I think cats are good
Said cats would lose to NDSU or sdsu right now by 10+
Said cats are overrated at 2 spot and are more in that 6 or 7 range based on SOS alone

Cats opponents records 25-56 (.308)
Played one team with a winning record
One ranked team then or now (1-0)

Griz opponents records 36-44 (.450)
Played 5 teams with winning records
4 ranked teams then or now (3-1)

I have no idea who would win right now between the cats and the Griz in a matchup. I think it would be a good battle. my entire post was pointing out just how lousy of a schedule the cats have played and they are overrated at number 2 because of it. You can’t tell me based on what you’ve seen that they would take out the bison or the jackrabbits right now.
 
Not a chance. Colorado is 6-2 in the Big 12 and NDSU gave them a good game. NDSU beat the defending champs and are unbeaten in FCS play. The Cats have a whopping 1 win over a ranked team this year in Idaho who was down to their 3rd string QB and backups all over the field. The Bobcats were gifted the most insane cupcake schedule I've ever seen. Good on them for winning these games but they can't make any sort of argument in my mind to overtake NDSU until they beat UC Davis next week. I'd even make the argument that until that happens they should be 3 behind SDSU.

My take is the Cats have to win out to hold on to #2. The only way they can get to #1 is to win out and NDSU implodes. Any loss by the Cats, they drop a few spots.

By the time MSDUI gets to Davis, Davis will be 8-2.
