If UM wins all games the rest of season/playoffs, will UM be no. 1?

This question is directed at Cat fans on egriz. I'm curious as to whether some Cat fans will still have a reason to consider the Griz not no. 1, and what their arguments will be that the Cats are better or should be considered no. 1. Thanks in advance.

The gris have a weak SoS, currently at 33 in Massey. Combined with very troubling losses including a home loss to unranked Weber and another loss to a rapidly dropping UND, I don't believe the gris could end up the #1 seed under any circumstances.

What if I told you Montanas SOS was better than both MSU and UC Davis??

I'm not talking about seeding. I'm talking about the Griz winning all of its game through the championship game in Frisco.

If the griz win the rest of their games in the season and all games they play in the playoffs then yes, they would be number one. That obviously would include a win in Frisco. It would suck.

If you are asking if they win all their games for the rest of the season, would they be the one seed heading into the playoffs. No, I don't think so. Even if NDSU loses one or both of their last games, neither of those would be as bad as UM's two.

Is this a serious or rhetorical question. You are asking that if the Griz win every game including the Championship game, would they be #1? Yes they would be #1. My guess is, you are waiting for a Cats fan to say "Well, you won in the championship game, but you didn't have to play _____ in the playoffs".

You got it. Plus, waiting for some Cats to explain how they almost did this or that, or almost did this or that, so they also deserve to be no. 1. Maybe that they lost to the Griz on a missed extra point or missed FG (50 yards), or Tommy was hurt and out for 1 play, or they almost caught Junior when he scored a TD, or all 10 of their running backs are better than the Griz starter, or something like that.

I didn't believe you would ask such a dumb question, so I (incorrectly) guessed on your true intent. As to your dumb question, yes, the gris would be the unconditional #1 FCS team in the nation. No question.

How would you rate your sense of humor? Did you really not realize I was making fun of some of Cat fans and how they post? Cowpoke got it.

Griz would have to be at least a top 2 seed to get to the Championship game. bobby Hauck has never made a Championship game when not being the #2 seed. Another Fun Fact, His teams have never been the #1 ranked team going into the playoffs, even though he has been to 4 Championships.

How could the Griz have been a no. 2 seed when they beat JMU at JMU when JMU was the no. 1 t3am in the nation? Or, was FCS not seeding at all then? If so, then your comment doesn't mean much.

False, the GRIZ were the 4th seed in 2008 when they upset James Madison and made the chipper vs Richmond

I remember you tried to tell a joke once on here several years ago and my head hurt for an hour. You sense of humor translates roughly to the Brick Tamland character from Anchorman.

They were actually ranked the #5 team in the country going into the Playoffs in 2008. They only seeded the Top 4 then. I guess I just assumed that they would have been #2 with a better record than 3 of the teams ahead of them. My Bad.

Yep, I was wrong on that. UM was actually the #5 ranked team in the country going into the Playoffs. They seeded the top 4, and UM was 4th. I missed that because I was looking at the records. Griz actually had a better record than App State and Northern Iowa
