You would think that the U would have their A/V issues dialed in by now, but it’s the same shit every year. Issues getting sound, issues getting the score/time, feed dropping. And it happens throughout the season. It’s like they find a new student to do it very game.
 
Pretty good first game. I thought we were really good on offense and defense. I would’ve liked to have held them under 60, but we almost did so I won’t complain too much. We had our way with them in the paint. I hope that’s a sign of things to come. Not a very good night from the free throw line or 3 point line. That stuff needs to improve.

What a debut for Kai Johnson. 27 points on 10-14 shooting. I knew he had the potential to be a big time player and he proved that tonight. Pridgen had a good night with 16 points and 8 rebounds as well. Now imagine how good he would’ve been if he knocked down his free throws (he missed several). Quiet night from Money with only 5 points but I suspect he’ll have a better performance against Oregon.

I really hope Bradtke and Malik Moore aren’t out for a prolonged period of time. Didn’t they both play in the exhibition game? I’m pretty sure Moore did. If we don’t have them for Oregon on Friday, it could be a long night. We also didn’t see Henderson or Jalen Foy. We appear to be pretty banged up right now.

Good first game. Kai filled in for Moody well. Money is Money foul trouble, but he looked to be in control after everything he’s been through. Really like their chemistry, and they all looked good in the first game. Couple dudes out, and so it was still a little mysterious. I like what i saw though.
 
Same story, different year. Boy do we miss Moody. 3 pt. Shooting was horrible. If that can’t improve teams will pack the inside and dare us to shoot from outside. With the exception of Moody that has been our Achilles heel for the past 20 years.
I’m anxious to see Money Williams perform when he gets back in shape and up to game speed.
 
Don’t wanna look to far ahead, but how about South Dakota State? They come to Missoula on December 4 and they get a huge 80-73 win over Will Wade’s McNeese State Cowboys. Many people think McNeese is going to be the premiere mid major team this season, and they have a ton of talent. What a win for the Jackrabbits!
 
Hawaii-Hilo only lost to the U of Hawaii 64-61 so that is a positive.The Griz were close to blowing this open even worse than the final score. Hilo, playing their 4th game in 4 nights, looked very road weary right from the start and it was never a contest.
 
This was about as good an opening game as I can recall. They looked in sync from the get go and never seemed out of sorts, which seemed to happen to past Griz teams when playing lower division teams at the beginning of the year. It's going to be fun to see what they can do as the year progresses. Only gripes were 3pt % and foul trouble. But at this point, this is exactly what we are going to get from DeCuire lead teams.

Money had a bunch of very nice assists. Especially in the first half. I thought he had a good game for not having played in almost a full year.
