Yes cal poly is not a great team. But today the Griz showed that they have what it takes to get to the national championship game. I'm overwhelmed with excitement. This team has all the elements in place. Go Griz!
Look, obviously we'll know a lot more after next week.Yes cal poly is not a great team. But today the Griz showed that they have what it takes to get to the national championship game. I'm overwhelmed with excitement. This team has all the elements in place. Go Griz!
I think the griz are looking a lot better than a few weeks ago. It's tough to tell if your defense is really good, or just looks that way because of your last two opponents. If you hold UCD to 7 points... I will officially be a believer. All that said, it is very unlikely this griz team can make it back to Frisco due to the losses to UND and Weber. Even if you beat UCD, and then go to Bozeman and beat the Bobcats, you'd still have to beat SDSU or NDSU at their places..... not gonna happen.Yes cal poly is not a great team. Griz D has had 3 good games in row. Last 2 teams were weak, but Griz D shut them down better than any other conf teams. Griz D seems to have corrected the big play mistakes they were making a month ago.I think the griz are looking a lot better than a few weeks ago. There's only so much sand in the hourglass. Are we good? Or, are we not so good? We shall see. Time, stay with me here, will tell.
Geez. This is so true this year, but Creepy and Good at the same time? Weird! Zero identity right now? Tough for other teams to scout us though.. just saying that’s the thing that’s scaring the others. ;-). Kinda Like It?There's only so much sand in the hourglass.
We beat a very good Missouri St. team, as well as a good Western Carolina team. We'll see what MS can do against SDSU and NDSU. Western Carolina is 4-1 in the Southern conference. Blew a 24-7 lead against conf. leader Mercer (7-1). Will have a game against Eastern Tenn, and then 2 easier games against VMI and Samford. My concern is beating the scats in 3 weeks. That's totally important, but it will be more difficult seeing as the game is in Bozo. There was a time, long ago, when they were ranked #1 and we beat them soundly in Bozo. That was fun!
Yes, we are looking good against weak teams. The question is, what do we look like against strong teams? We'll know pretty soon.
Maybe not, but at least the Cats still control their own destiny for making this happen. If the Cats win out, they avoid having to travel to Fargo or Brookings for the semis. If the griz win out, they would still have to travel there. this griz team won't beat either of those teams at their place, and if I'm being honest, the Cats probably won't either (Although Cats almost beat SDSU their last year and that SDSU team was stronger than this year's). Will be way easier to take them down in Frisco.Griz D has had 3 good games in row. Last 2 teams were weak, but Griz D shut them down better than any other conf teams. Cats aren’t getting to Frisco either.
We will see what kind of juice Missouri St has in next 2 weeks.
My concern is not Frisco. It is continuing to win games and improve.
The Griz still control their own destiny too. All teams getting to playoffs control their own destiny. Just have to win every game in playoffs. Yes, on travel, but winning on the road controls destiny. When Cats lose another game, they will have to go through the Dakota schools too.Maybe not, but at least the Cats still control their own destiny for making this happen. So let's see if I can follow bub logic here: the cats almost won there last year; but they lost 4 games and got destroyed by the GRIZ; sdsu is worse this year so maybe the cats can win; but if the GRIZ beat the cats there's no way the GRIZ beat sdsu? Do I have that right? Because even by bub logic standards, that's a doozy.Maybe not, but at least the Cats still control their own destiny for making this happen. Hell UND could upset SDSU. They are so hit or miss it's crazy.Who knows any of this. Hell NDSU and SDSU could drop one. We play davis..my only concern right now!
Let me know if you ever figure out bub logic. So let's see if I can follow bub logic here: the cats almost won there last year; but they lost 4 games and got destroyed by the GRIZ; sdsu is worse this year so maybe the cats can win; but if the GRIZ beat the cats there's no way the GRIZ beat sdsu? No, you're not quite following..... but I have several griz fan buddies so I'm used to having to explain things multiple times, lol. If the Cats win out they get to play in Bozeman through the semi's, thus avoiding having to travel to SDSU or NDSU. If the griz win out, they would still have to end up playing one of them at their place. Anything can happen. The Puddy Tats made it to the national championship twice in the last forty years. They even won the conference a couple of times. Everyone knows that the Puds are the real football juggernauts in MontanaI think the griz are looking a lot better than a few weeks ago.
